WELCOMEPinnacle Team Members

to YOUR MAGAZINE

2 September

It is a pleasure to welcome team members from Ameristar Casinos to Pinnacle Entertainment. This past December we announced the merging of two great companies. Today, we are one company, Pinnacle Entertainment. We often refer to our company as “PNK” which is both our symbol on the New York Stock Exchange as well as an informal manner in which to refer to our company. Although the company name may be new to some team members, the names of our properties and racetracks will remain the same.

Our core values are the guiding principles in how we treat our guests, team members, and our shareholders. Through feedback from both Ameristar and PNK team members, we define our company through a new set of values that has the best of both company cultures: Integrity, Excellence, Care, Innovation, and Ownership. In this magazine and as we move forward, you will learn more about our values.

Our company’s mission is to be the Best Casino Entertainment Company in the World©. I’m often asked by team members what it means to be the ‘best’. We are at our ‘best’ when we take ownership of the guest experience and deliver excellent service; when we stay true to our integrity and show care and compassion for others; and when we challenge ourselves to be innovative and creative to do our best work. We judge ‘best’ against ourselves, not other companies. I believe we all know when we are doing our best work.

Life is made up of moments and we want the moments you spend at PNK to be magical and memorable. Throughout our journey together, we will support you both personally and professionally so you can Be the Best You™. We will use this phrase often, to keep true to our promise and remind each other that work isn’t just about earning a paycheck – it’s an important part of living your best life. At PNK, your good work will be appreciated and rewarded; you will develop meaningful relationships with your fellow team members; and, you will have the opportunity to learn new life skills.

In this magazine, you will be introduced to our PNK leadership team, a group of accomplished and dedicated leaders. You will also be introduced to our wonderful portfolio of casinos and racetracks. mypnk Magazine is published quarterly and is written by team members for team members. In future issues, you will read stories written by you and your teammates. Please email [email protected] and ask how you can get involved or to submit a story.

I look forward to many memorable and magical moments together. We Are PNK.

All the best,

Anthony SanfilippoChief Executive Officer

“It is a joy to watch people I have worked with over the years succeed. It’s so gratifying to help people along the way and then watch them succeed in both their personal and professional lives.”

We studied the concept, concluded it was beneficial to our guests and shareholders, and made it happen. Everyone in our company is encouraged to be adventurous, creative, and collaborative.”

ChRISTINA J. dONELSONSenior Vice President of Human Resources Team Member Since 2010

CareerChristina got her start in the hospitality industry as a gate agent for Delta Airlines and has worked in a variety of front-line and managerial roles in the hotel, restaurant, and airline industries. Most recently, she has held positions in talent management and Human Resources and is now the Senior Vice President of HR.

“I’m excited about the opportunity to build something together – to decide what type of company we want to be, and then to make it happen. Very few people have an opportunity

like this in their careers, and every one of our team members will be able to make an impact on our collective success.”

PassionChristina is active in the research and development of women leaders and is the former chair of the Women’s Research Institute of Nevada. She is also active with the American Gaming Association’s Global Gaming Women group.

“As the mother of two young girls, ensuring that we live in a country (ideally, a world!) where everyone is provided equal opportunities is critically important to me. With hard work and perseverance, an individual should be able to thrive and succeed, regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation or disability.”

FamilyChristina and her husband George have two daughters Lola and Vivian. They enjoy traveling to new places, as well as, spending time together on their family farm in Oklahoma.

“We are often approached by people who are curious about adoption. I’m always happy to share our experiences with others and encourage anyone with an open heart to consider adoption – not necessarily for the sake of the child, perhaps more so for the adults. Being a parent to these two girls truly is the most fulfilling role I have.”

“We asked Pinnacle and Ameristar team members to describe their company culture in one word. The word we heard the most was “care”. Showing genuine care and compassion for team members, guests, and shareholders as well as the communities in which we live and operate is important to all of us. Together, we are going to be an extraordinary company.”

“Ameristar St. Charles was built with an incredible attention to detail creating a high quality facility in which we operate today. Our team members take pride not only in our facility, but in the way that they treat our guests and each other every day. I am grateful to work with a team who truly lives our values and continually strives to find innovative ways to be better than the day before.” - Jim Franke, SVP and GM

Ameristar St. Charles has a casino floor the size of five football fields featuring nearly $2 million in stained glass. If you think that is stunning, visit the Bottleneck Blues Bar where there are more than 200,000 bottle caps decorating the interior.

There is a little touch of Vegas in St. Charles, as the property displays a fountain that shoots water 40 feet into the air, and was designed by the same company that created the Fountains at Bellagio. Guests cast $15,000 in coin wishes annually into the fountain, which is donated to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
