Homework

• No formal homework until after transition tests

• New homework scheme to be introduced in September

• Much of the homework will require parental support

• Reading, spellings and times tables are non-negotiable!

Equipment• Black handwriting pen• Blue handwriting pen (for editing)• Pencil, sharpener and rubber• Ruler with millimetres • Coloured pencils• Highlighter pen• Glue stick• Whiteboard pen

No novelty stationery please!

Uniform

• New uniform policy includes:– Long hair and/or long fringes to be tied back– No jewellery– No extreme haircuts– PE kit: as per policy – no football shirts

How can you support your child?

• Support your child with reading, spellings and homework.

• Check equipment periodically.• Keep us informed of anything that may affect

your child’s learning or happiness.
