VOLUNTEER ONBOARDING TOOL As a volunteer run organization, we strive to ensure our volunteers have the necessary resources, tools, and support available to ensure success. As their leader, you play a critical role in providing this information and creating a welcoming environment beginning day one. The following guide is designed to assist you in onboarding your new volunteers. If you have any questions, contact TCHRA’s VP of Volunteer Engagement, Amanda Greenberg, at [email protected].

Contact your volunteer via phone or email to schedule your initial in-person meeting within two weeks of him/her joining your team. In advance of the meeting, provide the volunteer a link to the Volunteer Reference Guide, schedule of your upcoming team meetings, and a list of TCHRA’s upcoming programs. In particular, inquire if he/she has attended a New Member Orientation session. If not, strongly encourage his/her attendance as the sessions provide an excellent overview of TCHRA’s history, structure, and purpose.
