The seat of the Venice program is Palazzo Pesaro – Papafava, a historic building which dates back to the 14th century. The palazzo is a typical example of late Venetian-Gothic architecture and was for centuries the home of the noble Pesaro family, whose portrait by Titian can be seen at the Frari Church.

In 1625, Pesarina Pesaro married Bonifazio Papafava and the Palazzo passed to the powerful Papafava family that originated from the mainland.

For centuries the building was used also for cultural gatherings and even though on your way here it may have seemed to be located out of the way, the Palazzo is centrally located in the Rialto district and therefore a popular spot.
