Total Workload = standard minimum teaching load + additional workload equivalency activities• Total Workload not to exceed 15(16) contact hours (8 ch)

1. Teaching Load = contact hours spent in classroom instruction • 1.0 FTE = 12 contact hours & 0.5 FTE = 6 contact hours

2. Additional Workload Equivalency = equivalent to 3(4) contact hours

• Vary by college, department and/or individual• Determined by dept. chair or program director - approved by Dean• E.g., additional teaching hours, considerations for class size, writing

content, # preps, course type, student level (undergrad/grad), non-instructional duties (lab prep, program director, coach, etc.), scholarly activities, service activities, etc.
