Title 1 Compact

• BFE Title 1 school• State provides funds to help meet the

needs of at-risk and low income students

• The School-Parent Compact outlines how the entire school: staff, students and parents/guardians share the responsibility for improving academic growth

• Please read sign the compact before leaving

The Compact is sent home with all students. Please sign the last page and return ASAP.

ARRIVAL & DISMISSAL•Breakfast students arrive 8:10 – 8:30

•All other students arrive 8:30. Instruction starts at 8:45.

•Dismissal is 2:45.

•Parents are asked to drop off students outside of the building so that students gain independence.

•Adults are available inside of the building to assist the students.

•Parents may come in for breakfast or lunch for a special occasion.

•Any changes to dismissal need to be put in writing and sent into school with your child.

District Attendance Policy• Good attendance leads to positive results!• Consistently unexcused tardiness and/or absences will be

monitored.• First contact: A note will be sent home informing you of your

child’s absences.• Second contact: The principal will contact you.• Third contact: Depending on the situation, the district

attendance office will be in contact with you.• When your child misses school, regardless of the situation, a

note must be sent stating the date and reason of absence.

Our goal is approximately 700 steps at the beginning of the end of the year.

What is in my classroom?

How can you help?Your child will come home each night (starting soon!)

Parents as Learning Partners

• How can you help your child be successful?– Check your child’s agenda and homework folder daily.– PLEASE SIGN AGENDA DAILY!– Encourage independence with homework but provide

guidance when needed.– When in doubt, email, call or write a quick note to me in

the agenda.– Be involved!– Consistency is key. Having a set place and routine for

homework, nightly reading and fact practice will help your child with organization as well as success.
