ReadingPlease try to hear your child read as

often as you canThe children can change their book

any day as long as their diary has been signed by an adult

In KS2 the focus is on reading comprehension - which children can find tricky. We use prompt cards/questions to help the children.

you to understand some of the formal methods we teach your children – it is available on the school website too.

End of year expectations for Year 4 is to know their timestables to 12x12. The children have regular input but any thing you can do to help will be beneficial.

The children have been learning about how mountains are formed, some of the different types of mountains and the layers of the Earth which leads to our next topic… Violent Volcanoes.
