AS course structure

• 2 theory modules examined January & June

• 80 % of AS ( 40 % of A2)

• 1 practical module – tasks take place throughout the year

• 20 % of AS (10 % of A2)

A2 course structure

• 2 theory modules examined in January & June

• 40 % of A2

• 1 practical module, tasks take place throughout the year

• 10 % of A2

• All students receive 2 text books and a revision guide

• There is regular formal assessment with feedback

• Biology A2 – 100 % pass rate

• Chemistry A2 – 100 % pass rate

• Physics A2 – 75 % pass rate (all students who passed gained at

least a grade C)
