Vision
The course will provide the blend of rural development andmanagement with ethics, values, and the rights of the mostvulnerable. It create a cadre of competent and trainedmanagement experts and development planners who cancontribute to and provide alternatives to the existing set ofknowledge and practices in management of rural developmentprogram, initiatives and strategic ventures.

• Sensitizing students about the complexity of rural society,factors influencing rural realities, interface between varioussectors and interaction between the state, market and societyin production of development,
• Impart the blend of a cutting edge knowledge of modernmanagement science and skills, critical thinking and practicesneeded for rational, equitable and effective planning forutilization and management of human and other valuablescarce resources, from micro (grass-roots) to macro levels

Sustainability is today’s urgency. We at the Faculty of Sustainability Studies empower students to act on the world’s top problems, finding long-term and sustainable solutions.
We offer a unique M.Sc. program in Sustainable Rural Development through the School of Sustainability Studies Rural developmental issues can be solved when the solutions balance people, profit, and planet. This is the first-of-its-kind course in India that integrates rural program, project planning, policy implementation conservation water & land, social sciences, and sustainability.
We have well-equipped young faculty and several eminent visiting faculties making learning exciting for the students who are passionate about making a positive impact.

Objective
The rural immersion program is designed to achieve the “Social Mission” of
the university and help students gain perspective into the issues related to
rural and agro based economy, trade, commerce, institutions and rural
consumers through active participation and engagement
Selection
Rural Immersion is a 3 day programme where students volunteer to
participate for the same. The selection of the candidate happens as per the
norms decided by the School.
Take Away
This novel program aims to expose students to understand rural economic
activities and socio demographic factors influencing trade and commerce in
rural India.

level
• Selection will be based upon online application and Statement of
Purpose regarding the candidate's interest in joining the course.
