Purchase of paddy from the ryots in Puducherry region through Regulated Market Committees and member village Co-operative Societies.

Running of Modern Rice Mills for milling of Paddy and production of rice and other bye products.

Sales of rice to Govt., Departments for various welfare schemes and Co-operatives Institution and Govt., undertakings in Puducherry region.

Running of Retail shops for sales of Rice and other Agricultural commodities to consuming Public.

XVI. ACHIEVEMENTS AND CREDITS Society’s proposal to erect Modern Rice Mill with latest technology

was achieved during the year 2010-2011.

Project Cost of the Mill : Rs.203.00 Lakhs

Installed Milling Capacity : 3MT/per hour (40 bags of Paddy per

hour)

Financial Institution for the project : PIPDIC Loan Availed : Rs.119.74 lakhs Loan outstanding : Rs. 69.74 lakhs Date of Inauguration : 28.02.2011

The Modern Rice Mill was erected within 4 months as per schedule.

With the enhanced capacity Modern Rice Mill erected the Society has achieved a sales turnover of Rs.726.00 Lakhs during 2011-12.
