March 2014

Fly-cruises

Introduction

This module is designed to give you more information about our fly-cruise

products.

The benefits of a fly-cruise:

Fly-cruising is a great option for those customers who want to go further

afield in a relatively short space of time. Taking a flight to the first destination

saves more time than sailing and once they have arrived they can cruise to

significantly more destinations than on an Ex UK sailing. In fact in a two

week cruise passengers can visit up to 11 ports.

These cruises depart during the winter months from November to March

however for 2014 P&O Cruises have a Fly-Med programme on Ventura from

March to October for customers wanting to head straight to a sunnier

climate without a long haul flight. This means Ventura will offer year-round

fly-cruising in 2014.

Fly-cruise flight options

All P&O Cruises fly cruise holidays have flights included. There are

options to ensure there is a choice that suits your customers needs.

For Exotic cruises & Ventura Fly-Med holidays your customers have

the choice if they are more independently minded we can price

these holidays on a cruise only basis so they can arrange flights and

transfers themselves.

Including the flights in the holiday cost ensures that you receive

commission for the flights and the cruise.

Ventura Fly Med

Fly Med holidays in 2014

New for 2014, Ventura will be based in the Mediterranean between late March

and October embarking on a choice of seven and fourteen night itineraries taking

passengers to explore some of the region’s most iconic cities including Rome,

Venice, Naples, Dubrovnik and Florence. These cruises have been specifically

created for those passengers who prefer a port rich holiday as there’s no need to

spend days sailing to the first destination. Instead, regional airport departures

enable passengers to hop on a plane in the UK and embark Ventura just a few

hours later in either Genoa or Venice.

Ventura will operate weekly turnarounds on a Wednesday that alternate between

Genoa and Venice.

Passengers can explore nine very different destinations in just 14 nights, or up to four

places on a seven-night cruise, including the major Italian ports of Naples, Livorno (for

Florence and Pisa) and Civitavecchia (for Rome), the old Mediterranean port of Kotor

in coastal Montenegro, Ajaccio on the island of Corsica, and, ‘Pearl of the Adriatic’,

Dubrovnik. Many of the cruises feature an overnight stay in Venice. If passengers

would like more time ashore, they can add a one to three-night city stay to their cruise

in Venice, Milan, Nice or Genoa. A cruise and a city stay combined, this flexible option

is perfect for those who love variety. Cruises will be packaged but are also available to

purchase as ‘Cruise only’.

With a 30 week programme running from late March to October 2014 we are looking

for approximately 70,000 passengers. This represents a massive opportunity for you,

the travel agent and we are looking for 70% of passengers who are new to cruising!

These itineraries are all easy to remember and contain popular

destinations that many of your customers would love to see,

all in one holiday.

What does the P&O Cruises Fly Med holiday

passenger look like?

Caribbean fly cruises

Caribbean fly-cruises

If there’s an ideal way to discover the islands of the Caribbean it’s on a ship.

P&O Cruises offer a wide choice of sailings in the Caribbean during the

winter months.

There are a number of fly-cruise holidays (excluding Caribbean

transatlantics) on both Azura and Ventura during the winter season from

November to March. Both ships offer 2 different cruise itineraries

All Ventura and Azura Caribbean fly-cruise holidays are 15 nights in duration

(14 night holiday and an overnight flight) and visit 9 different destinations

including the turnaround port of Barbados.

In spring 2015 Adonia will also be sailing Caribbean fly-cruises visiting some

of the lesser-frequented, smaller and more intimate Caribbean islands, two

of the world’s largest rivers; the Amazon River and the Orinoco, the

rainforests in Central America as well as the popular Caribbean destinations

of Barbados, St Maarten, St Lucia and Grenada.

Caribbean transatlantic

Another Caribbean cruise option which includes flights is a transatlantic

holiday. This is where passengers cruise from Southampton to the Caribbean

and fly back to the UK from Barbados. Alternatively they can fly from the UK to

Barbados and cruise back to Southampton.

A transatlantic crossing is, without doubt, one of travel’s greatest adventures.

Nothing can prepare you for the feeling of being thousands of miles from land,

the sight of an uninterrupted horizon in all directions or the chance encounter

with a pod of dolphins. Even the most world-weary traveller will be stopped in

their tracks at some point during a crossing – maybe by a stunning sunset or

by the millions of stars you can see on a starry night made all the clearer for

being miles from any light pollution or by the simple realisation that earth is a

very vast place indeed.

Transatlantic sailings offer great value for money and P&O Cruises have more

choice then ever with various available sailings across 2014 and 2015.

Azura & Ventura are two of P&O Cruises largest ships in the fleet and are perfect for

transatlantic sailings offering plenty of choice and freedom. Due to the vast amount of

bars, restaurants, entertainment and pools there is something for everyone during the

sea days.

NEW Mediterranean & Caribbean Transatlantic

cruises October 2014 - Ventura

Ventura offers four relaxing transatlantic holiday options departing from Genoa or

Malaga on 15th & 22nd October 2014 for a selection of 17,18,24 & 25 night holidays.

All include flights out to Genoa or Malaga and back from Barbados.

The 17/18 night holiday begins with 3 days cruising around the Mediterranean plus a

visit to Tenerife before heading across the Atlantic Ocean where you island hop

before disembarking in Barbados.

The 24/25 night cruise visits 7 Mediterranean ports before sailing across the Atlantic

visiting 6 Caribbean Islands.
