Welcome to the Parents of Avon! The Parents of Avon (P of A) is an all-volunteer parent organization at AOF. Our goal is to enhance the academic, athletic, and overall quality of life for our Men of Avon. At our monthly meetings, we catch up on school happen- ings, plan activities to support enrichment programs for the boys, and enjoy our monthly speakers’ presentations about Avon’s latest innovations and some of the most cherished school traditions. AOF’s website and social media presence are great ways to follow news and updates from school throughout the year. You can easily find Avon on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and SmugMug by clicking the icons in the bottom right corner of Avon’s Website. The PARENTS tab contains information about Family Weekend in October, the highly anticipated Blue Blazer Ball in late April, and many other important events in between. On the PARENTS OF AVON tab under “Calendar,” we will post upcoming P of A meetings. Feel free to send any of the P of A Board Members an email if you have any questions throughout the school year, and be sure to ask us to put your email address on the list so we can send you our monthly meeting reminders. We encourage all AOF families, near and far, to partici- pate in the Parents of Avon. On Opening Day, stop by our table to say hello and to sign up, and on Family Weekend come to the P of A reception. We look forward to meeting you! � is annual spring dinner and auction gala provides a unique opportunity for the extended Avon Old Farms family to celebrate the traditions and values of this exceptional school. � e purpose of our fund-raising endeavors is to enhance the boys’ experiences during their years at Avon Old Farms School.Last year’s event raised $120,000 for the Student Enrichment Fund and $60,000 for the Outreach Program.
Here are just a few examples of how Student Enrichment Funds were used last year:
