Where is the Midtown District, anyway?

120 city blocks that span north-south from around Emory University Hospital Midtown up to the Amtrak Station near the Brookwood Split, and east-west between Piedmont Park and the I-75/85 Connector.

We’re Midtown Alliance, a nonprofit coalition of business and civic leaders working to make Midtown Atlanta an exceptional urban place. And we’re pleased to provide this user guide to help you get the most out of your experience in Midtown ATL.

Our organization has implemented 15 miles of streetscape improvements since 2000 to make the area more walkable.

More improvements to sidewalks + crossings and new trees are planned for a corridor not far from your building.

Our Midtown Blue public safety program helps keep the district safe for everyone.

Working in constant coordination with the Atlanta Police Dept., we run the most complete supplemental public safety program of its kind in the Southeast:

• 24-7-365 coverage• Team of 40+ APD sworn officers and private security personnel • 700 combined hours per week of patrolling in marked vehicles,

Segways, bikes + on foot• 50+ high-def cameras in the public right of way

FACT: 94% of the crime in Midtown is non-violent property crime.

Midtown Green keeps sidewalks, parks and plazas looking good.

Our public works team is on the job every day removing trash and graffiti, planting new landscaping, repainting light poles, cleaning fixtures and keeping the public right of way in tip-top shape:

Participate & adopt a tree well.

We invite commercial tenants and properties to participate in our tree well adoption program to enhance Midtown’s public realm. The effort is part of our work in establishing the South’s first eco-district. 265 tree wells adopted to date by Midtown workplaces and residences.
