We can’t believe the day is finally here. After months of preparation we are excited to share the day with you! The Women’s Division of the Mansfield Area Chamber of Commerce has partnered with The Mansfield Area Chamber of Commerce, Mansfield Independent School District and Mansfield Women’s Club to bring you an all day community event. All of the proceeds from this event will benefit Mansfield ISD scholarships, the Mansfield ISD Fine Arts Department and other local charities and non-profit organizations.

The festivities of the day will include:• The Streets of Mansfield Shopping Expo featuring

70 Vendors• A Community Stage featuring local talent groups• A Demonstration Stage highlighting local

businesses and their products• Taste of Mansfield showcasing restaurants &

caterers• Mansfield Women’s Club Children Showcase

Style Show• The Women’s Division Style Show• Mansfield Student Art Contest

“The S t r e e t s

of Mansfield” Art Contest involves teachers

and students from around the Mansfield Independant School District who submitted art entries for the Art Contest with a variety of different themes representing the “Streets of Mansfield.” The elementary student’s sub-theme consisted of “Neighborhoods”, while the intermediate schools focused on “Suburban” ideas of Mansfield. Students at the high school level submitted art entries representing “Urban Decay”. The winning entries were judged by a group of local judges who volunteered their time for our community. The winning entries will receive cash prizes which go directly back to the teacher and help enhance the quality of arts education. The Art Contest is also a great way for students to unleash their artistic abilities and express themselves while receiving positive recognition for their efforts from their teachers and our community.

The Show will feature fashions from local boutiques modeled by a combination of professional models from Page Parkes modeling agency and local residents. The boutiques include Dean-Kingston, Aspirations, Classy Concepts and Altered Couture. The show will open with entertainment from a street dance group and percussion from a local drum line. The Women’s Division will honor an outstanding woman for her commitment to the community with the Outstanding Community Service Award. Finalists include Wendy Burgess, Karen Freeman and Marilyn Gerloff. Guests will enjoy passed appetizers and specialty drinks. VIP seating will be available and will offer guests prime seating and swag bags. This event will begin 6:00 pm.
