Dress Code 2018 – 2019
Why have a dress code?
We, at Seminole Ridge Community High School, believe that students have a right to a positive educational
environment. Our attention is devoted to learning, school safety, encouraging good behavior, and minimizing
disruptions and distractions. As a result, student attire or grooming that substantially or potentially disrupts the educational environment, creates a distraction which interferes with the educational process, or presents a
health or safety hazard to the students or school community, is not permitted. Clothing should be suitable,
comfortable, and appropriate for school and school activities.
Tops
• Must have sleeves, unless a top with sleeves is worn underneath
• Must have a full back
• Must overlap the waistline of shorts, pants, or skirts
• Must not be sheer or see-through
