He served as MU Family and Community Medicine associate chair for 10 years, and chair for 11 years before being named interim Dean of the School of Medicine in March 2019.

Dr. LeFevre served as Chief Medical Information Officer for MU Health Care and directed the implementation of the EMR from 2001-12. He served as vice chair of MU Family and Community Medicine 11 years before being named interim Chair in March 2019.

CHILDHOODOBESITYAMYWILLIAMS,MD,MSPH,led a study on childhood obesity that showed children whose parents smoked were 40 percent more likely to be overweight, while those who ate dinner as a family had a four percent lower risk. Researchers also found that compared to whites, the likelihood of childhood obesity was 60 percent higher among Hispanics and blacks and nearly two times higher among Native Americans.
