BienvenidosBienvenidos

Bonjour

Hola

We live here in the north-west of England.

Our village is right on the coast; this is our beach. We can see the sea from the school playground.

This is St Bees Head; a famous landmark.

This is the main entrance of our school.

This part of our school is very old. Many more classrooms have been added since it was built.

This is a newer part of the building and is where the infant children enter school.

This is the Year 1 classroom.

This is the view from our school yard.

This is our Reception class with their teacher. They are the youngest children at our school

(age 4-5)

Reception children are encouraged to play outdoors as much as possible.

Even in the English weather!

As you can see, we are prepared for the rain!

Year 1 are listening carefully. (Age 5-6 years)

Our Year 2 teacher and a happy student!

Year 2 are working hard to develop their Literacy skills!

Our Year 3 children look happy! (Ages 7-8 years).

A small but cheerful classroom. This room is part of the original building.

Year 4 (age 8-9) look a little worried!

Our computer suite where the Year 4 children are enjoying a lesson.

Each child has an ICT lesson in the suite each week.

Each classroom also has 5 laptops which the children use during other lessons.

These are the Year 6 children. They are the oldest children in our school (age 10-11).

Our school hall where the children have Physical Education lessons.

Our school hall is also where the children eat.

We have so many children we have to have two sittings at lunch time!

You are sure of a friendly welcome at the school office!

This is the main street of St Bees Village.

As you can see the main street hasn’t changed much since Victorian times!

This is one of our local churches. It’s called The Priory. The school attends

services there during the year.

The inside of The Priory is very beautiful.

The village has a public boarding school.

Some of our children go there when they have left the primary school.

This wonderful beach is 15 minutes walk from the school!

As we are on the coast we have a lighthouse to protect passing ships!

If only the weather was always this nice!

We hope you have enjoyed an introduction to St Bees village and

our school!

Goodbye!

Au revoir Adios

From your friends at St Bees!
