• Students should arrive at SPC by no later than 9:00 AM • Tardy bell: 9:15 AM• Please do not leave your vehicle to drop off or pick up students• Dismissal Procedure
Attendance is BASE-ic
• To be on the BASE team, a student must:– Miss three or fewer days (including
tardy or absent) in a nine week period
– A celebration for each nine weeks will be held to reward students whose attendance is 95% per nine weeks or better
– Each nine weeks, students can begin again
– Students who have three or fewer absences will have their “BASEball cards” on display in the school
Parent Volunteering
• We are looking for parents to assist with our lunch supervision at SPC!
• 11:15-12:25 each day• Duties will include assisting students with
lunch items and monitoring students with faculty
• Part of our school-parent-community vision• A sign-up sheet for parent training is in the
main office--please see Sherry to join us!
Daily 5, Guided Reading and meeting student literacy needs
• The Daily 5 is our structure for improving literacy through guided reading and individual conferencing.
• This is our FOURTHyear of the program.
• Our data tells us that students are becoming great independent readers!

What are the Big 5 Rules?
Reading Eggs and Math Seeds are new computer programs that students will use at school and may also use at home. Usernames and passwords will be provided to you by your teachers. SES students are also using this program!
