He holds a Diploma in Naturopathy, yoga and natural living from Yoga Vidya Niketan(recognized by the government of Maharashtra, India). He also has a CIBTAC diploma in body therapy and a diploma in yoga therapy from the World Yoga Society, Calcutta. Ram Chatterjee is trained in personal fitness programmes from the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) and has been awarded a black belt certificate from Japan’s Mass Oyama International Kyokushin Karate Do. He represented India in an International Kyokushin karate championship in Katmandu in 1998.
