Getting Around SFO

Transferring from an International Flight to a Domestic FlightAll arriving international passengers must clear United States Customs and Border Protection at the International Terminal Arrivals Hall. Passengers connecting to onward !ights should exit the Arrivals Hall through the doors marked “Connecting Flights.” A Connecting Baggage Desk, located directly outside of the exit, is available to recheck baggage tagged to its "nal destination. Passengers not checked through to their "nal destination should visit their airline’s ticket counter.

Getting to Other Terminals and Parking GaragesAirTrain, SFO’s fully automated people mover system, operates 24 hours every day and provides convenient and frequent service throughout SFO. AirTrain stations are located in all terminals, terminal parking garages, the Rental Car Center and SFO’s BART station. AirTrain does not serve SFO’s long-term parking. Use the SFO parking shuttle buses located on the Departures Level roadway to access long-term parking.

Domestic Terminals 1, 2 and 3 each have an AirTrain station located on Level 5 of the Central Parking Garage. Terminals 1, 2 and 3’s stations connect to the terminals via a passenger skybridge. Take the elevators/escalators to Mezzanine-Level 3 and follow the AirTrain signs.

The International Terminal has two AirTrain stations. A station is located one level above ticketing at each end of the Main Hall.

Getting to the Rental Car CenterTo access the Rental Car Center from the Airport terminals, take the AirTrain Blue Line. Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Fox, Hertz, National and Thrifty car rental counters are located at the SFO Rental Car Center.
