Individual Development Plans (IDPs)
New NIH requirement as of Oct. 1st - Annual progress reports must now describe how IDPs will be used to promote career goals of grad students and postdocs associated with the award. NOT-OD-14-113
Resources are available to assist PIs, students and postdocs with IDP development.
Additional assistance will be provided by the forthcoming office of postdoctoral affairs. RFDS can also provide information on how to advance this new requirement.

appropriations are enacted in FY 2015. NIH expects us to monitor expenditures carefully during this period.

NIH Inclusion Management System (IMS)Use of IMS Required as of October 17, 2014
Key Changes:
1) Inclusion enrollment report forms received with competing application submissions will automatically populate in IMS.
2) NIH grantees completing their RPPR (Research Progress Performance Report) will be prompted in Item G.4.b to access and update inclusion records directly in IMS.

NIH Inclusion Management System (IMS) (Cont’d)
3) Grantees are able to access their inclusion enrollment data through IMS via eRA Commons Status page and can review/update as needed.
(4) NIH will migrate ongoing enrollment information from previous data system to IMS. Grantees are prompted to update Cumulative Inclusion Enrollment data in IMS format with the RPPR.
