Two key definitions
• Definition—a border or fence drawn around the definition. What you would find in dictionary. This goes on TOP of your card
• Derivation—a brook or stream that leaves the main river. These are the words that all have the root word in them. They go underneath the definition.
Colors---there will be a colored border around the edge of your card
• Green means the root word is Greek
•Red means the root word is Latin

• Nominate—suggest someone’s name for office
• Nomination---act of naming a candidate for office
• Nomenclature—system of names used to classify knowledge (calo/cala-call)
• Denominator—part of a fraction below the line

• Professional---one who claims to be an expert• Problem—thrown forward to be worked upon• Prologue—words before a book or play• Proceed—move forward• Proclaim—announce, cry out (proclaimation)
