May God’s blessings in Christ be with you.
You are not in a holding pattern waiting for eternity. This
life has meaning and purpose. There is a kingdom you have been
called to be a part of. It’s called the Kingdom of God and God wants
you to invest in His kingdom.
- Paul Tripp
The church is people of the age to come living in this age.
As an agent of the Holy Spirit, it models heaven within a fallen
world.
-Michael Williams
Our ambition, then, is to seek first His kingdom, to cherish
the passionate desire that His name should receive from men the
honor which is due to it.

Preparation for Worship
The Greeting
Leader: The Lord be with you.
People: And also with you.
The Call to Worship God calls His people to worship
PSALM 5:11-12
Let all who take refuge in you rejoice; let them ever sing for
joy, and spread your protection over them, that those who love
your name may exult in you.
For you bless the righteous, O LORD;
You cover him with favor as with a shield.
Hymn of Praise We praise our glorious God
Praise to the Lord, the Almighty
Praise to the Lord, the Almighty, the King of creation!
O my soul, praise him, for he is thy health and salvation!
All ye who hear,
Now to his temple draw near,
Join me in glad adoration.
3
Praise to the Lord, who o'er all things so wondrously reigneth,
Shelters thee under his wings, yea, so gently sustaineth!
Hast thou not seen
How thy desires e'er have been
Granted in what he ordaineth?
Praise to the Lord, who doth prosper thy work and defend thee!
Surely his goodness and mercy here daily attend thee;
Ponder anew
What the Almighty will do,
If with his love he befriend thee!
Praise to the Lord, who with marvelous wisdom hath made thee,
Decked thee with health,
and with loving hand guided and stayed thee.
How oft in grief
Hath not he brought thee relief,
Spreading his wings to o'ershade thee!
Praise to the Lord! O let all that is in me adore him!
All that hath life and breath, come now with praises before him.
Let the Amen
Sound from his people again;
Gladly fore’er we adore him.
Words by Joachim Neander, 1680 based on Psalm 103
Invocation We seek the Lord’s presence among us
4
Doxology We respond in praise
FORT WORTH PCA
Praise God from whom all blessings flow;
Praise him, all creatures here below.
Praise him above, ye heav’nly host;
Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Amen, amen, amen!
Welcome Confession of Sin
Holy Lord, we have sinned against you and been guilty of
pride and unbelief. We have failed to find your mind in your
Word and neglected to seek you in our daily lives. Our
transgressions and shortcomings present us with a list of
accusations, but we bless you that they will not stand against us
for all have been laid on Christ. In your grace and
faithfulness, go on with your patient work. Purge us from
every false desire, every base aspiration, everything contrary to
your rule. And grant us continued grace to take up the cross,
to die daily, and to rise to follow you. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Assurance of Forgiveness We find mercy in Christ
1 THESSALONIANS 5:9-11
For God has not destined us for wrath, but to obtain salvation
through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us so that
whether we are awake or asleep we might live with him.
Therefore encourage one another and build one another up,
just as you are doing. Hymn of Response We delight in God’s grace
Nothing But the Blood
What can wash away my sin?
Nothing but the blood of Jesus;
What can make me whole again?
Nothing but the blood of Jesus.
O precious is the flow
That makes me white as snow;
No other fount I know,
Nothing but the blood of Jesus.
For my cleansing this I see—
Nothing but the blood of Jesus;
For my pardon this my plea—
Nothing but the blood of Jesus.
Nothing can for sin atone—
Nothing but the blood of Jesus;
Naught of good that I have done—
Nothing but the blood of Jesus.
6
This is all my hope and peace—
Nothing but the blood of Jesus;
This is all my righteousness—
Nothing but the blood of Jesus.
Now by this I'll overcome—
Nothing but the blood of Jesus;
Now by this I'll reach my home—
Nothing but the blood of Jesus.

Peter and John
Peter and John went to pray.
They met a lame man on the way.
He held out his palm and he asked for an alm
And this is what Peter did say,
“Silver and gold have I none,
But such as I have give I thee,
In the name of Jesus Christ, of Nazareth,
Rise up and walk!”
He went walking and leaping and praising God.
He went walking and leaping and praising God.
He went walking and leaping and praising God.
“In the name of Jesus Christ, of Nazareth,
Rise up and walk!”

The Reading of the Word Acts 3
[1] Now Peter and John were going up to the temple at the hour of
prayer, the ninth hour. [2] And a man lame from birth was being
carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple that is called
the Beautiful Gate to ask alms of those entering the temple. [3] Seeing
Peter and John about to go into the temple, he asked to receive alms.
[4] And Peter directed his gaze at him, as did John, and said, “Look at
us.” [5] And he fixed his attention on them, expecting to receive
something from them. [6] But Peter said, “I have no silver and gold,
but what I do have I give to you. In the name of Jesus Christ of
Nazareth, rise up and walk!” [7] And he took him by the right hand
and raised him up, and immediately his feet and ankles were made
strong. [8] And leaping up, he stood and began to walk, and entered
the temple with them, walking and leaping and praising God. [9] And
all the people saw him walking and praising God, [10] and recognized
him as the one who sat at the Beautiful Gate of the temple, asking for
alms. And they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had
happened to him.
[11] While he clung to Peter and John, all the people, utterly
astounded, ran together to them in the portico called Solomon's. [12]
And when Peter saw it he addressed the people: “Men of Israel, why
do you wonder at this, or why do you stare at us, as though by our
own power or piety we have made him walk? [13] The God of
Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, the God of our
fathers, glorified his servant Jesus, whom you delivered over and
denied in the presence of Pilate, when he had decided to release him.
[14] But you denied the Holy and Righteous One, and asked for a
murderer to be granted to you, [15] and you killed the Author of life,
whom God raised from the dead. To this we are witnesses.
9
[16] And his name—by faith in his name—has made this man strong
whom you see and know, and the faith that is through Jesus has given
the man this perfect health in the presence of you all.
[17] “And now, brothers, I know that you acted in ignorance, as did
also your rulers. [18] But what God foretold by the mouth of all the
prophets, that his Christ would suffer, he thus fulfilled. [19] Repent
therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out, [20] that
times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that
he may send the Christ appointed for you, Jesus, [21] whom heaven
must receive until the time for restoring all the things about which
God spoke by the mouth of his holy prophets long ago. [22] Moses
said, ‘The Lord God will raise up for you a prophet like me from your
brothers. You shall listen to him in whatever he tells you. [23] And it
shall be that every soul who does not listen to that prophet shall be
destroyed from the people.’ [24] And all the prophets who have
spoken, from Samuel and those who came after him, also proclaimed
these days. [25] You are the sons of the prophets and of the covenant
that God made with your fathers, saying to Abraham, ‘And in your
offspring shall all the families of the earth be blessed.’ [26] God,
having raised up his servant, sent him to you first, to bless you by
turning every one of you from your wickedness.”

The Preaching of the Word Pastor Darwin Jordan
THE GOSPEL MISSION:
PROCLAIMING CHRIST THAT YOU MIGHT BELIEVE
1. Jesus really is present to save you (3:1-11)
How shall we escape if we neglect such a great
salvation? It was declared at first by the Lord, and it was
attested to us by those who heard, while God also bore witness
by signs and wonders and various miracles and by gifts of the
Holy Spirit distributed according to his will.
Hebrews 2.3-4 The signs of a true apostle were performed among you
with utmost patience, with signs and wonders and mighty
works.
2 Corinthians 12:12
2. Jesus really is risen for you (3:12-18)
3. Jesus really does demand a response form you (3:19-26)
A. We must not deny Jesus (3.13-14)
B. We must repent of our wickedness (3.19, 25-26)
C. We must have our sins blotted out (3.19)
D. We must listen to Jesus in all he says (3.22-24)
E. We must trust in Jesus to restore all things in the end (3.20-21)

Closing Hymn We respond in faith and song
The Lamb Has Overcome
The Lamb has overcome, the Lamb has overcome.
The battle’s done and the victory is won.
The Lamb has overcome.
No grave could hold him down, no grave could hold him down.
Up from the ground, “He is risen!” was the sound.
No grave could hold him down.
Worthy is the Lamb who was slain! Glory be unto His name!
Worthy is the Lamb who was slain! Glory be unto His name!
At God’s right hand is He, at God’s right hand is He.
Our Perfect Plea as he lives to intercede,
At God’s right hand is He.
The day is drawing near, the day is drawing near.
He shall appear and will wipe away each tear. The day is drawing near.
Worthy is the Lamb who was slain! Glory be unto His name!
Worthy is the Lamb who was slain! Glory be unto His name!
The Lamb has overcome, the Lamb has overcome.
The battle’s done and the victory is won.
The Lamb has overcome.

Sunday School Lesson
Lesson 8: Jesus Sets a Woman Free Our story today is about a woman who was bent over for 18 years
before Jesus healed her. You might want to have your kids walk
around bent over for a few minutes so that they can understand what
that would be like to see the floor most of the time and not be able
to look up at the faces of people. To give a concrete example of 18
years, you might tell them about a sibling, or babysitter, or friend
graduating from high school that is close to 18 years old.

Committee on Re-Opening Survey: The Elders miss seeing you
and being with you in corporate worship. It is OK to say, "It has
been hard, and there is an ache to worship together." COVID-19 has
challenged us to think differently about ministering the gospel to one
another and our neighbors.
As we contemplate the challenges of returning to public worship,
we ask in advance that we all would give grace to those who view
how to reopen differently. As we seek to return for public worship,
let the world know that we are His by our love for one another.
This survey is for the Facility Re-Opening Committee to gather
information to assist in our planning.
The Session is committed to following the guidelines from the
Governor's office. There are also other considerations that will be a
part of our decision on when to restart public worship. A main piece
of the puzzle is how to implement the guidelines.
