“Making a difference one person at a time.”
Dear Praying Friends & Supporters,
God has been so good! I sent out a short video back in August, however it has come to my attention that not every-one received it. You can view it on our website www.hayesupdate.com. With that in mind, I will try to cover all that has transpired since this summer. Our co-laborers, the Helton family, returned to the States this summer for furlough and to drop off their oldest at college. Their absence provided an opportunity for others in the church to step up and fill the void. It was amazing to see how God worked in each of their lives. All summer long we saw spiritual growth, responsibil-ity taken and numerical growth as well. It was clear to see that God was preparing our congregation for the next step. As September came it was apparent that the ministry was building momentum. We finished up the sermon series on Jonah, “Running From God”, and began our current series, “Be the Church”, in preparation for our Charter Service. We were about to formalize out membership as we were finally ready to take this step, having a core group of faithful attenders. Two weeks ago we had our charter ser-vice, opening up a period of a month for those who desire to become Charter Members of the Iglesia Bautista El Olivar. It has been exciting to see how people have responded to this huge step of faith. This past Sunday we celebrated … See Missionary board in the hall of old
church or contact Emmett for the full letter.

The Perfect Sacrifice The Perfect Sacrifice … “If man had his
way, the plan of redemption would be
an endless and bloody conflict. In real-
ity, salvation was bought not by Jesus'
fist, but by His nail-pierced hands; not
by muscle but by love; not by venge-
ance but by forgiveness; not by force
but by sacrifice. Jesus Christ our Lord
surrendered in order that He might win;
He destroyed His enemies by dying for
them and conquered death by allowing
death to conquer Him.” ~ AW Tozer
