Thank you for coming to our tryouts!

Mission Statement:

Our mission at Pinnacle Volleyball Academy (PVA) is to cultivate the

sport of volleyball in all ages and skill levels with the purpose of

providing the opportunity for each athlete and develop to their highest

potential. The goal at PVA is to maintain an environment that embodies

the core values of integrity, perseverance, respect, leadership, and

teamwork while enhancing self-esteem, promoting self-confidence, and

cultivating a lifelong passion for the game of volleyball.

COVID Protocols:

As of today, protocols have been relaxed, however, we are still adhering to many of the original mandates for precautionary measures.

• No parents allowed in the gym• Masks are not mandatory and is up to each family for their usage• No sharing (of anything)• Temperature checks may still be done prior to entry• Anyone running a fever or has any symptoms need to be cleared by a doctor before

returning• State and Local government guidelines must be followed.• Anything can change at any point during the season due to COVID and State regulations

Player Evaluation:

12’s/13’s - 14’s

•Not evaluated based on position (girls are still developing)

•Evaluated for basic skills, athleticism, potential and volleyball IQ

•Coaches determine best fit for playing position – May change as development occurs.

15’s – 18’s

•Evaluation is based on the position the player is trying out for

•Evaluated for basic skills, athleticism, potential and volleyball IQ

•Tryout format is similar to USAV High Performance

Be a Volleyball player, not a position player


•An offer letter will be open/valid for the

day the offer is made plus an additional

72 hours.

•Once you accept the offer, you will be

sent further instructions with a link to

formally register and pay a non-

refundable deposit to secure your spot

on the team.

•After all teams are filled everyone who

tried out will received an email.

● Last year, almost all of our players went on to play in college.● Most athletes used the NCSA tool to assist with the college search and

help them find the right fit for them.● It is the parents/athletes responsibility to use these tools and navigate

Philosophy on Playing Time:

• Practice time is always equal – you are paying for practices & training

• Every practice is treated as a tryout and gives you the opportunity to showcase

yourself.

• Athletes develop/mature at different rates during the season and roles may

change.

• EQUAL PLAYING TIME IS NOT GUARANTEED

• At coaches discretion depending on the competition level

• During overnight tournaments coaches will find more opportunities to distribute

court time

• Playing 6 rotations “all around” is rare and should not be expected.


•USAV as secondary insurance can

be used in event of injury during

club season.

2020-2021 Season Memberships expires 8/31/21

No Junior Members will be able to affiliate with Clubs

prior to October 1, 2021.

Association (GEVA) is the local Regional

Volleyball Authority of USA Volleyball, the

national governing body of volleyball.

Required for club season and USAV/GEVA

tournaments.

AAU - Required for AAU tournaments only.
