Sixth Grade Team Goal

Our goal is to prepare your child to enter the middle school by:- Fostering a sense of independence and

self-advocacy through increased responsibility in school.

- Encouraging citizenship and social growth through collaboration with peers.

- Raising behavioral, academic, and social expectations.

- Providing opportunities for each student to experience leadership.

6th Grade Leadership Program

Each student is asked to select 4 roles:- Morning Greeters- Newscasters- Breakfast Peer Tutors- Spirit Squad- Environmental Leaders- Hall Safeties- Bus Safeties- Special Events Crew- Actors Guild

Goal of the ELA Program

- Is to create independent readers, skillful writers, and articulate speakers, active listeners, critical thinkers, and discriminating viewers and consumers of media.

Homework Policies

- Used to prepare for a lesson, reinforce a skill, or practice a skill.

- Is due the next day unless otherwise noted in agenda.

- Homework is to be written in the planner daily.

- Time is given during each class for copying homework and asking any questions.
