Homework will be sent out on Mondays for the week and will be expected to return on Fridays of the same week.

your child’s progress.• They are sent home to be reviewed

Helpful Tips!Homework: Prepare a bucket with learning
essentials and a quiet place for your child to work.
Reading: Read to your child, with your child or by your child.
Math: Model number writing and rote counting to 31.
What can I do to help?• Please help your child learn his/her:
– full name– address– phone number and keep a card with this
information in the backpack• Please make sure we have all current phone
numbers– Cell phones– Home phones– Work phones– Emergency contact information
• Please help your child be at school on time each day.
• Please look at information that comes from school.
• Please place your child’s PIN number in their book bag.
Volunteers NeededVolunteers are an integral part of
MKES. Here are some things you can do to help:
• Volunteer in the classroom to help students or teachers.
• Volunteer to help our other staff.• Volunteer at school events.• If you are unable to come into our
school, then you can volunteer at home by having your child’s teacher send home items you can do at home.
