• Your most actual transcript with the latest grades from your university –this also needs to be signed and stamped by the university

• A copy of your passport

You can send us these documents as one document, scanned via e-mail, but itis very important that you bring the original documents with you once youarrive on campus to complete your enrollment.

2. REGISTER YOUR INFORMATION IN OUR SYSTEM:

• Visit the following website: http://sim.itesm.mx/sim/login.jsp• Select the language you prefer• Click on Not registered yet? Create an account• Fill out all the information requested. You will receive an e-mail with your

user name and password. Please log in with this information on the samewebpage (http://sim.itesm.mx/sim/login.jsp) and complete theinformation, especially items with a red (*)

Please follow next instructions:

• “Admission type”: NON DEGREE-SEEKING STUDENT• “University”: Name of your University• “Academic information”: Information of your home university and

international coordinator there• “Are you comming as an exchange student”: YES• “Level at which you wish to enroll“: UNDERGRADUATE/BACHELOR• “Program type”: REGULAR UNIVERSITY COURSES• “Campus of your Interest”: CAMPUS CIUDAD DE MÉXICO• At last in “Academic period”: choose the period you wish to apply to.

It is important that you carefully plan your arrival to Mexico ahead of time, asyou have to be on campus the first day of the orientation week

All students, not matter their nationality , will need to appy for astudent visa at the Mexican Embasssy or Consulate in their owncountry. In case you enter Mexico as a tourist, you won’t be ableto change your visa status and as a consequence your exchangewill have to be canceled.

In order to apply for a student visa you will need our acceptanceletter which we will be send once you finsh our applicationprocess. The acceptance letter will be send directly to your homeuniversity.

Once in Mexico, you will need to fulfill with the requirements ofthe National Immigration Institute of Mexico (Instituto Nacionalde Migración de México or INM).

Upon your arrival to Mexico we recommend you:

• At your arrival (at the airport, international border or port),make sure to declare that you are entering the country as astudent. You should show the Immigration Officer the StudentVisa you got at the Mexican Consulate or Embassy in yourcountry, valid passport and the Immigration Form (FMM) withthe required information (you will get this form during yourflight or at Immigration Point.

• After your arrival, you have the obligation to start theregistration process of the immigration document within amaximum of 30 days after the date of your arrival.

• To fulfill with the requirements asked by the ImmigrationAuthorities at the check point.

Please be aware that we need your immigration documentproperly registered at the Immigration Office in order to issue yourfinal transcript.

We insist in the fact that you need to get your student visabefore traveling to Mexico an din your home country, otherwisewe won’t be able to finish your registration and will be force tocancel your exchange.

For more information we recommend you to check with theMexican Embassy and/or Consulate in your home country therequirements for students who wish to come to Mexico through astudent exchange.

You will find here the documents you will need to present in orderto get a valid immigration status during your stay (accomplish theregistration of your student visa), which is also required by ourinstitution in order to validate your student exchange period at ourUniversity.

The Tecnológico de Monterrey has an special international insurance policywhit specific coverage for its exchange students, it is MANDATORY for allexchange students to hire this special insurance.

Following you will find all the information related with the coverage and thecost of the insurance.

We will inquire for the insurance of all students a few days before the welcomeweek. We will ask for a policy for all students directly to CHARTIS insurance andthe coverage will correspond to your study period, which means: the insuranceshould start some days before the orientation week and ends a few days afterthe last official day of final exams.

We will inform you a few days before your study period about the final cost (inMexican pesos) of the insurance you will have to pay it at your arrival (duringthe orientation week).

Nevertheless, the following information will give you an idea of the costdepending on your study period (one semester, trimester or academic year).
