• Mrs. Fleming’s Class 12:30 pm -1:00 pm

Kindergarten students may come with one parent. Please do not bring other siblings. You will be able to visit the classroom, meet the teacher, drop off supplies and get a special treat from the cafeteria. Please wear a mask. Temperatures will be taken at the front entrance.

The First Day of School

Faculty, Staff and Students
• Masks worn when entering and exiting the building.
• Masks will be worn throughout the day. Frequent mask breaks will be given.
• Desk shields for each student.
• Maintain social distancing.

• Temperature check before leaving home.
• Temperature check before entering school. Another check by nurse if temp is 100 degrees or higher. Parent will be contacted to pick child up.
• Completion of COVID screening questionnaire. If symptoms are present faculty, staff or students will be seen by the nurse to determine next steps. This may include being sent home.
• The Covid Officer for the district will communicate with the Department of Health for direction on a case by case basis

Drinking fountains will not be used. Please send your child with a water bottle daily.

Computer Pick-up
• Cohort A – will receive their laptops during their first days at school.
• Cohort B –will receive their laptops during their first days at school.
• 100% Virtual - computers can be picked up on Thursday September 10th between the hours of 9:00 am and 1:00 pm. We ask that only an adult come to pick up the device.

• The teacher will share the daily schedule with consistent times for students to join in with the class live from home. This instruction will include a morning check in, phonics instruction, and an opportunity to check in at the end of the school day

Cafeteria
• Kdg, 1st, 2nd, & 4th will eat in the cafeteria. 3rd graders will eat in the classroom. 3rd and 4th graders will get to eat outside on days that are nice
• Students will be socially distanced and will be seated behind a polycarbonate shield
• . All areas of the cafeteria will be disinfected before and after each group of students.

Breakfast and Lunch
• Anyone wishing to purchase breakfast or lunch for their child MUST put money on their child’s account. This can be done online through My School Bucks (a fee is charged) or via a check payable to Iroquois Central School District. No cash transactions will be allowed.
• Depending upon numbers of students purchasing breakfast, they will be able to eat in the cafeteria.
• Hot meals will still be available. Snack will still be available from a limited menu

Classroom Set up examples
• In this classroom each desk will have a polycarbonate shield.
• Each child in each cohort will have their own desk. Desks/chairs will be disinfected every day
• Bins will be used to store student’s materials and supplies.
• The inside of each desk will not be used.

Outside Recess• Students will use hand sanitizer prior to going
outside.
• A rotational schedule will be developed to allow students to use the playground equipment.
• Individual activities will be available for those students choosing not to use the playground equipment.
• Students will sanitize their hands prior to entering the building. Once inside the building, students will wash their hands.
• Masks will continue to be required outside, unless students are socially distant and engaged in stationary activities.
Indoor Recess
• Students will use hand sanitizer prior to using indoor recess materials.
• Individual activity baskets/materials will be provided for each student. Materials will not be shared.
• Students will wash hands when indoor recess is over.
