Who or Whom?Using “who” or “whom” depends on

whether you’re referring to the subject or object of a sentence.

When in doubt, substitute “who” with the subjective pronouns “he” or “she,” e.g., Who loves you?...........He loves you.

Similarly, you can also substitute “whom” with the objective pronouns “him” or “her.” e.g., YUCK I consulted a student whom I met at SAMI. …….I consulted her.

Who Whom PracticeTo ____________ did you give the book?

____________ will you ask to help you with all this work?

____________ is responsible for this decision?

You may give this money to ____________ever you please.

____________ever did this should be kicked out of office.

____________ is going to support the Ukraine now?

Comparisons with ThanWhen making a comparison with "than" do we

end with a subject form or object form, "taller than I/she" or "taller than me/her?"

The correct response is "taller than I/she."

We are looking for the subject form: "He is taller than I am/she is tall." (Except we leave out the verb in the second clause, "am" or "is.")

I am tall. He is taller. He is taller than I am tall. Or He is taller than I.

Who is better, Batman or Spiderman? It’s a question that is sure to arouse passionate arguments among all ages. It is also a question that gets at a much deeper issue. Since the beginning of comics, there have been two giant publishing houses, Marvel and DC. Each publishing house has its own roster of characters, comic titles, artists, and writers. While their best known characters (Batman & Spiderman) have often teamed up in fictional stories, the publishing houses themselves have a long history of competition. Although Marvel has unarguably been the most commercially successful, DC has actually advanced the comic art form much more. This can be seen through a careful examination of how comics have changed over time, the artists that DC regularly attracts, and by comparing the quality of writing between the two publishing houses.
