Why are you here?

Scheduling Questions!Do you have your PE and Health credits? Are you planning on going to college? You need at least 2 years of the SAME foreign language!Honors Diploma: Make sure your schedule includes what you need if you are working to achieve thisAthletes: Must have AT LEAST 5 classesSeniors: Meetings in September to make sure you are on track for graduationSophomores will visit the Career Center to explore vocational training options.

Schedule ClarificationsStudent schedules will show 8 periods.Students have 6 academic class periods. This is the same as last year. All students have advisory during 2nd period which is only 30 minutes long.Early Release or Late Start policyStudents may qualify for early release or late arrival if they meet all of the following criteria:Students must be in good academic standingStudents are taking an online course, an internship, work study, or taking a college course off site that they need to leave to attend. Students must have their own transportation.There must be a transportation waiver signed by the parents on file prior to the student being able to leave campus.

Dual-enrollment College CoursesEnrollment for these courses is currently closed. Please keep this information in mind for future scheduling opportunities. The average cost for tuition in a public college in Ohio is $10,000.By taking the Compass test, your child may qualify to take college courses during high school for FREE!These classes earn your child high school and college credit at the same time.

Our expectationis that EVERY sophomore who has completed Algebra 2 will take the Compass Test in the spring.is that EVERY junior will take the Compass Test this fall and spring.

We work hard to help remove barriers and provide the support and services students need to be successful and would rather address an issue proactively with support rather than reactively with discipline.

If/When required, student discipline may include teacher detentions, school detentions, community service, in-school suspension and out of school suspension.

Electronic Device (Cell Phone) PolicyRCSD is a bring your own device district. You maintain the responsibility for your device.Devices should remain turned off or silenced and put away during class at all times unless the instructor has given explicit permission for its use as a part of the classroom activity. All students are required to sign the acceptable use policy for district technology and will be responsible for maintaining the assigned devices. Students are responsible financially for damages to district devices.

SCHEDULE CHANGESSchedule change forms are available outside in the PAC Lobby. You only need this if you want to change something on your current schedule or need to change a core class. Do not use this form to add electives.Forms will be collected tonight or can be turned in anytime before school starts.Schedules WILL NOT be changed tonight. We will only accept forms and will work to change schedules before school starts.Students will be given a new schedule at the beginning of the first day of school.We will do our best to accommodate schedule change requests but cannot guarantee they will happen if classes are full or do not fit into the students schedule.
