end of course math test to qualify for an
honors math course.
Getting Ready for Middle School
-Before doing your back to school shopping, review your new
Middle School Dress Code.
-Check the recommended supplies list. Courses may have special
materials requirements. You will absolutely need a binder with
sections for each class.
-If taking PE, be sure you have your dress out clothes.
-Planning to play sports? Download the sports physical form by
going to our website and clicking on the Athletics section:
www.horizonhonorssecondary.org.
-Keep skills up! READ… READ… READ… Practice Math Skills- try
online through Khan Academy or AAAMath.com
-Attend Open House Friday before school starts and check out
your textbooks.
-Re-Read the Tips for Success in Middle School in the Middle
School Scheduling Handbook.
-Be present and ready to go on Soarin’ Eagle Day, the first day of
school, when you attend Middle School Eagle Launch sessions.
