• Ho Chi Minh was formerly known as Saigon.

• It has more than 9,000,000 people

• It is the largest city in Vietnam

• The average temperature is 87 degrees F (27 degrees C)

Do’s• Dress Conservatively.

• Drink lots of water.

VISITING A URBAN CITY- FOOD

Many Travel Guide books tell you not to eat Street Food, however that is where you are going to get the best Vietnamese cuisine. Dishes like pho and grilled pork found at a street vender will be better and cheaper than food found in a restaurant.

Normal Cost- 20,000 VND or $1.

Also, avoid western food restaurants, it tends to be low quality.

ATTRACTIONS- CAO DAI TEMPLE.

• Made in 1926, • It is the first Caodaiism temple.• It took parts of Eastern and Western religion and put it into one• Usually has an English tour guide.

• It shows the violence and the hell Vietnam went through.

• It shows weaponry, what Americans and the French did to torture the Vietnamese, and the effects of Agent Orange did to the people.

ATTRACTIONS: WAR REMNANTS MUSEUM.

ATTRACTION: TIEN HAU TEMPLE

• For the Chinese deity Tien Hau.

• It is a Pagoda styled Temple.

• It was built in the 19th century

• Has idols such as actors, demons, and angels.
