Homework Policy
Purpose is fourfold:
1. Extend concepts learned in the classroom.
2. Provide opportunities for independent work.
3. Strengthen concept and skill development.
4. Provide enrichment opportunities.
Homework Policy Should take no more than 60 to 75
minutes a night total. Is due on the assigned day unless
illness or death in the family prevented it. Additional time will be given.

Science/Health CurriculumFamily Life Unit taught in the second
semester Students are able to do alternate work if
parents choose to have them do so. Sessions will be held after winter break to
discuss content that will be taught
Reading Language: Vocabulary Reading: Informational Text Reading: Literature Students will have nightly reading
assignments to reach the grade level goal of 25 books for the school year.

Chorus Art, Music, PE, and Media are once a week Chorus is on Thursday mornings Band is taught once a week for 30-40
minutes Students will have band buddies to ensure
they get materials presented in class while they were gone.
