OUR SUPERSTAR MATHLETES
WELCOME TO MARCH 2017!
MARCH 2017 Volume I, Issue 6
March is finally here, which means we are beginning testing season! Since
preparation for the FSA and SAT assessments began on the first day of class, we
are confident our Explorers will do an amazing job! Students have been working
hard by paying attention, taking good notes, studying, completing homework
assignments, reviewing study materials on a regular basis, and even attending af-
ternoon tutoring! Parents, we encourage you to continue to support our Explorers
on their journey to success by helping them every step of the way. A special
THANK YOU to those parents who were able to attend our Testing Information
Nights in February.
Throughout this month and next month we will begin testing for our FSA
(Florida Standards Assessment). On Tuesday, February 28, 2017, our 4th, 5th, and
6th graders will complete the writing portion of the FSA and on Monday, March
27th, our Kindergarten through 3rd grade students will begin their testing. Kinder-
garten through 2nd grade will begin taking their SATs while 3rd grade will be con-
centrating on the paper-based Reading FSA. Throughout the month of April, our
3rd-6th graders will be completing the computer versions of the FSA Reading and
Math Assessments.
Throughout the week of April
10th, our Explorers will be on Spring
Break but please note that upon re-
turning, testing will be occurring. Ad-
ditionally, during the first week of
May, our 5th graders will be taking
the Science FCAT Exam.
So as you can see, there is a
lot of work to be done… but we know
that with your support, our Explorers will do amazingly well! As always, should you
have any questions or concerns, please do not ever hesitate to contact us!

Our 3rd grade Explorers
enjoyed a beautiful day at
Deering Estates on their field
trip. They explored some of
South Florida’s unique ecosys-
tems like the seagrass beds be-
fore diving into small group fish
dissections!
Our younger Explorers are aging gracefully and are showing progress as
they round the year 100 days smarter!
