Collected Assignments

All assignments must be turned in on time.Late assignments will receive a lower grade.All papers must be completed neatly.All papers must be turned in free of fringe from spiral notebooks.Only pencil, blue or black ink may be used.

Grading

Grading is done on a point systemHomework is 2 points each

Quizzes are approximately 50 points each

Tests are 100 points each

Projects range in point value depending upon the difficulty and depth of the project

Notebooks

You are required to maintain a notebook throughout the year.

Due to the large number of handouts in this class, a binder is required.

Your notebook may be assessed for a quiz grade at any time with or without warning.

Attendance

If you are absent from class you will have 2 days to make up your missed work.

If you miss class the day of the test but were present the day before the test, you will be required to take the test the day you return to class.

If you miss class the day before a test, you will be required to take the test with the rest of the class unless new information is presented on the day before the test.

Any work not made up in the allotted time will result in a zero.

You are responsible for making arrangements to make up missing work.

I WILL NOT CHASE YOU DOWN!

Quizzes

The lowest quiz grade of the marking period will be dropped.

Missed quizzes cannot be made up.

If you know of an absence in advance (field trip, doctor’s appt., etc) you may take the quiz early.

Not all quizzes will be announced, expect the unexpected!

Homework

Late homework will not be accepted

If at any point in time you are missing 3 or more homework assignments from the current chapter, you may be required to attend a meeting of the Homework Club at lunch to catch up on your homework.

Attendance is mandatory unless missing assignments are turned in prior to the meeting.

Skipping a meeting will result in an administrative detention.
