Handwriting

• Cursive is required in all subjects. • Handwriting will be improved with in class

modeling and worksheets and self-assessment.

Word Study

• Words are sorted in routines that require children examine, discriminate, and make critical judgments about speech sounds, word structures, spelling patterns, and meanings.

ELA Modules

• Curriculum addresses a full year of English Language Arts instruction in four modules.

• Each module is about eight weeks long, and is made up of three units comprised of six to twenty lessons that link reading and writing with speaking and listening skills.
