NEWSLETTER - ISSUE 7 Welcome to Connect-Ed, the Nord Anglia University newsletter FROM OUR TEACHING FELLOWS Our three Teaching Fellows have been hard at work creating courses, resources and communities to support you in your learning. Now over to them to introduce themselves and share some of the exciting opportunities coming up. Matthew is a geography teacher and Head of Technology in Education at College Champittet, Switzerland. “It is already one year since I made a conscious decision to dedicate more of my efforts to the development of specific areas of my teaching practice related to technology for learning. In just under one year I have learnt to create websites using Wordpress, developed a Personal Learning Network using Twitter and curated a vast amount of digital detritus. Looking back one year on there is a real feeling of achievement. The important moment however was the decision to invest in change. With the new Technology for Learning online course in development, as well as a series of webinars, I hope that you will also consider taking a step on the path to professional development with learning technologies.” SIMON PORTER: TEACHING FELLOW FOR SCIENCE MATTHEW ROBERTS: TEACHING FELLOWS FOR TECHNOLOGY FOR LEARNING CLARE LEECH: TEACHING FELLOW FOR ENGLISH Simon Porter is Physics Teacher and Advanced Skills Teacher at the British School, Warsaw.
