Welcome
Prelude “Simplicity” Rend Collective *Call to Worship - Drawn from Psalm 23 Laura Petracco, Liturgist
One: Caring Shepherd, you supply all our needs. Many: We celebrate God’s generous care of us all. One: Good Shepherd, you take us by the hand and lead us through the dark and fearful times in life. Many: We celebrate God’s compassion and understanding. One: Gracious Shepherd, your goodness and mercy nurtures and blesses us, and it enriches our soul. Many: As we worship you, we share together in the feast you prepare for us, and it restores and refreshes us. Amen. *Black Hymnal #591 “This is My Song” *Prayer for Peace
Lord, we confess how we often want peace to start with someone else - to start with the other people, to start by our leaders and politicians, or simply to begin elsewhere. But we confess how we skip over how peace begins within and through each of us. Help us to be people of peace today and each day and help your peace to spread in ways that are beyond anything we can ask or even imagine. Amen.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

Mission Group 2020
The mission group (which is open to all) is meeting on a monthly basis this year. Anyone interested in discussing, developing, and/or participating in service opportunities is welcome to attend any of the meetings, which are held on the first Tuesday of each month at 6:30 pm in the conference room (usually). You are welcome to join us whenever you have an idea or just want to know more about plans for expanding our outreach in the community.
We have invited representatives from the organizations with which we collaborate to share information about their work with our congregation. These brief presentations will occur during the worship services on the last Sunday of most months this year.
Suggested future activities under consideration by our group include support of the Truth and Destiny UCC church's ministry to homeless individuals, serving a meal to families staying at the Ronald McDonald House, and furnishing more Power Packs for children at Washington UCC.
Please review the following explanation of a new process we have to organize volunteer activities that we hope will make it easier for everyone willing to help out with the many ways to serve.
