•My name is Alicia Hamilton. • I am married and I have a 16 and a half year old

stepson. • I have two dogs, two cats, and seven chickens. • In my spare time, I like to read, coach the

Peninsula Roller Girls, garden, cook, and see live music.

•The year after college, I lived and taught in Costa Rica and I still speak a little bit of Spanish.

HOMEWORK

Homework is an opportunity for students to practice what was learned during the school day. It should be a time where kids are focused. Attempt to provide a quiet and organized location. Support your children, guide your children, but do not do homework for them. According to CUSD Board Policy, the following are maximum recommendations.

•TK: 10 minutes of nightly reading •K-2: 20 minutes, plus nightly reading •3-6: 60 minutes, plus nightly reading
