Aerolíneas Plus awards and benefits Global airline alliance

Aerolíneas Plus is our way of awarding you for flying with us. For every flight you take being a member of Aerolíneas Plus, you accrue miles that you can later redeem for awards.

Miles earned

Miles for an award ticket: these are the miles in your account, no matter how you earned them.

You earn miles every time you take an Aerolíneas Argentinas flight or a flight on any of the airlines in the SkyTeam alliance as well as ussing one of our partner companies.

You can earn even more miles with your Aerolíneas Plus Gold (Oro) and Aerolíneas Plus Platinum (Platino) card.

Qualifying miles for Elite category

These are the miles earned only by taking Aerolíneas Argentinas flights and/or any of the SkyTeam airlines’ flights. These miles determine if the passenger is eligible to be an Elite member.

Reaching an Elite category increases your benefits and privileges.

Tier Bonus Miles

These are the miles that Gold (Oro) and Platinum (Platino) members receive for belonging to Elite and Elite Plus categories respectively.

An Elite passenger earns 25% more miles than a Classic (Clásico) member does. An Elite Plus passenger earns 100% more miles than a Classic (Clásico) member does.

Bonus miles that are earned for being an Elite member (Tier Bonus Miles) are not taken into consideration when calculating if one is eligible to reach or renew the Elite and Elite Plus categories.

Aerolíneas Argentinas is now member of SkyTeam, the global airline alliance, which allows Aerolíneas Plus cardholders access to an extensive group of airlines worldwide.

Aerolíneas Plus cardholders can accrue and redeem miles on SkyTeam airlines, which offer around 15.000 daily flights to more than 990 destinations in 186 countries.

As part of SkyTeam, Elite passengers have access to a world of benefits and privileges.

Aerolíneas Plus Gold (Oro) members are called Elite passengers within SkyTeam. Aerolíneas Plus Platinum (Platino) members are called Elite Plus.

Types of Aerolíneas Plus members

There are 3 categories of members, Classic (Clásico), Gold (Oro) and Platinum (Platino). As the passenger goes from one category to another he/she has access to more benefits and exclusive privileges.

Classic member

This is the card that allows you to start earning miles. You can print your card with your name and account membership from our web site aerolineas.com / My Plus Account.

The card is yours and is not transferable. It has an unlimited validity.

This card comes with a number of benefits at hotels, rental car companies, restaurants, when buying tour packages and excursions as well as other benefits.

Gold (Oro) member

Gold (Oro) card has all the benefits of the Classic card plus some additional privileges.Also, for being an Elite Member every time you fly on Aerolíneas Argentinas you earn an additional 25% more miles.

In order to become a Gold (Oro) member you have to accrue 25,000 miles or take 30 flights or a combination of 15,000 miles and 15 flights during 1 year.

Platinum (Platino) member

Platinum card is reserved for the most loyal members and the benefits they get for having reached this category are proof of that. Also, you can enjoy a superior level of service and benefits flying on Aerolíneas Argentinas and on any of the SkyTeam member airlines.

For being an Elite Plus member, every time you fly on Aerolíneas Argentinas you earn 100% extra miles.

In order to become a Platinum (Platino) member you have to accrue 50,000 miles or fly 60 segments or a combination of 30,000 miles and 30 segments during 1 year. Gold (Oro) and Platinum (Platino) cards have an expiration date stamped on them (valid for 1 year). They will be

renewed based on the number of miles taken or flights flown or the combinations of both during the year of validity.

Earning miles

As an Aerolíneas Plus Member you can earn miles each time you fly with Aerolíneas Argentinas, or any of the SkyTeam airlines. You can also earn miles through our commercial partners.

Earn miles in Aerolíneas Argentinas flights

Each time you fly with Aerolíneas Argentinas being an Aerolíneas Plus member you will accrue miles in your account automatically, as long as you inform your Aerolíneas Plus membership number when you make your reservation or check in.

The Program offers a minimum of 500 miles in domestic and regional flights when the distance between origin and destination is less than 500 miles. Members will also obtain bonus miles when buying one of the following fares: Flexible, Club Economy and Club Cóndor in Aerolíneas Argentinas.

Depending on the flight and fare the following scheme for mileage accrual will be applied:

Earning miles in flights

Whenever you fly on any of the SkyTeam airlines, you can earn miles in your Aerolíneas Plus account.

To ensure the accrual of this miles, do not forget to present your Aerolíneas Plus card when you take the flight.

Remember to keep your original boarding pass and a copy of your electronic ticket until the miles are included in your account.

Miles validity

Your miles will expire when the account registers no miles credit for flights or ticket issue movements, that means no account movements within a period of three years.

Therefore, once a three years period has passed without movements registered, the ac-count goes automatically to balance zero.

Earning miles with commercial partners

Aerolíneas Plus members obtain miles every time they are hosted in any of the selected partner hotels. In the same way, they accrue miles when renting a car in any of the car rental associated companies.

Claiming unaccredited miles

The best way to ensure that your miles will be credited, is informing your membership number when you make your reservation or when you check in.

In case those miles do not appear in your account, you have six months to make a claim.

In Aerolíneas Argentinas flights

Enter www.aerolineas.com, click “Aerolíneas Plus“ and then “My Plus Account”, sign in with your member number and password and the option “ Retro Claim of Miles” will be available for you.

In partner´s flights

Deliver the original boarding pass and electronic ticket copy in any of our commercial offices or send them by mail to Rivadavia 578 CP C1002AAP - Buenos Aires, Argentina, addressing Aerolíneas Plus. Do not forget to include you membership number / ID number and an e-mail address.

In case of commercial associated partners

Deliver original receipt together with the rental contract (in case of car rental companies) in any of our sales offices or send them by mail to Rivadavia 578 CP C1002AAP Buenos Ai-res, Argentina, addressing Aerolíneas Plus. Do not forget to include you member number / ID number and an e-mail address.

IMPORTANT: If you are member of more than one SkyTeam Frequent Flyer Program, you have to choose between them for having your miles credited.

How to buy miles and how to issue an award ticket for your family

How to buy miles

Aerolíneas Plus gives you more possibilities: if you need extra miles to obtain an award ticket you can purchase them.

Conditions:

You will only be able to buy miles within the argentinean territory and at least 72 hs before the departure of the flight.Without a reservation, miles can not be sold. 1000 miles = USD 30,00 (If necessary Cu-rrency Exchange will apply). Maximum purchase: 60.000 miles per yearMinimum purchase: 1.000 miles

The award tickets issued with purchased miles will be submitted to Aerolíneas Plus Terms and Conditions. Once the reservation is made, miles have to be bought on one of the sales offices mentioned above.

Miles can be paid in cash or with credit card. When buying miles, taxes have to be paid. The Aerolíneas Plus Fee will not be charge.

How to issue an award ticket for your family

First you have to register your family members (parents, siblings, husband/wife, sons/daughters) on your Frequent Flyer account.

Once you send the note to add beneficiaries to your account, it can take up to 48 business hours to be processed.

You can send the note by email to beneficiarios_plus@aerolineas.com.ar, or by fax: (54-11) 4320-2385. A copy of the card holder ID must be send as well (a sample letter can be downloaded from our web site aerolineas.com).

48 business hours later the beneficiaries will be included on your account. Allowing you to make a reservation through our web page.

If your ticket is issued on one of our sales offices, and is not the cardholder who is doing it, the designated person must present an authorization with the following information: - Cardholder full information: name, last name, ID, signature- Aerolíneas Plus account number- Full information of the person issuing the ticket: name, last name, ID, relationship- Attach to the note a copy of the cardholder ID shall be sent.

Redeeming your miles

Your Miles can be redeemed for free flights, or for a one cabin-class upgrade on flights you have paid for.

Redeeming with Aerolíneas Argentinas

You can check availability or redeem your miles for an award ticket, simply by logging-in to your account at aerolineas.com to make your booking, and your e-ticket will be issue immediately. Alternatively, you can go to one of our sales offices.

Booking and issue must be done inmediately so you must hold your credit card before beginning the booking process.

With this class you will not be able to change or cancel your ticket. If you do not use it on the booked dates you will lose your miles.

Cancellation/Refund policy for Aerolíneas Plus tickets

Upgrading with miles is another possibility we offer to redeem your miles on Aerolíneas Argentinas flights.

Any Aerolíneas Plus member or his/her designated beneficiary can upgrade using miles.

Maximum and minimum days before departure date should be considered when making the upgrade reservation.

It is important to consider the number of days (minimum and maximum) before depar-ture that a reservation can be made.

For regional / International flights: Between 21 consecutive days and 72 hours (business days) before the flight’s scheduled departure.

For domestic flights: between 15 consecutive days and 72 hours (business days) before the flight’s scheduled departure.

The upgrade can be made for just the outbound or the inbound flight. If you want to upgrade roundtrip you will need to double the amount of miles listed in the chart below.

All flights included in the ticket need to be confirmed. Waitlisted flights and open segments are not allowed.

An award ticket needs to be issued at the same time the reservation is made.

All Aerolíneas Argentinas reservations can be made in person, or on our web page, aerolineas.com. Reservations for other airlines flights need to be made in an Aerolíneas Argentinas ticket office.

Open Jaw itineraries are allowed when the arrival city and departure city are on the same zone. For example, outbound Buenos Aires to Madrid and inbound Rome to Buenos Aires in Business Class (Club Condor): 130,000 miles for each flight, total 260,000 miles.

To request a refund for your award ticket in Economy, Club Economy or Club Condor Class (Business Class) the Aerolíneas Plus member needs to approach an Aerolíneas Argentinas ticket office with identification. A refund fee will be charged.

If it´s not the holder but another person who is making the submission, he/she will have to present an authorization note and a copy of the holder´s identification.

IMPORTANT: We remind you that award tickets issued in Promotional Class cannot be changed and are non-refundable.
