6 BLUE HOMEWORK POLICY1st missing homework assignment: • Each student is allowed one missing homework assignment per subject,
per trimester. 2nd missing assignment• Lunch pm served the day (or next day for afternoon class) the assignment
is missing.
3rd missing assignment:• Referred to administration for “Homework Academy”
*For any missing assignment, students fill out a “Missing Homework Form” to be signed by a guardian.
Language Arts
• Trimester 1 Goals: • Fiction: Importance of setting• Non-fiction: Main idea• Writing: expository pillar, open response, broad-yet
distinct main ideas, overlapping• Learning experiences: Fiction reading (Maroo or
other fiction texts), non-fiction reading resources, empowering writers lessons.
• Summary writing, text features, finding the main idea
