The Linked Parishes of St. CharlesSt. Ann and St. Patrick and St. Brigid
Welcome, St. Patrick and
St. Brigid’s Parishioners!
May you feel at home here!
January 26, 2020
Lord, Jesus Christ, we have come together in Your
name to work for the good of our parishes.
Stay with us with Your invisible presence and pour
out the gifts of your spirit on us.
Make us work in a spirit of trust and love, as well as
a spirit of prudence and understanding so that we
may experience an abundance of light, compassion
and peace.
Let harmony reign ever among us and let us keep
our eyes ever fixed upon you.
Enable us to implement your known will for us no
matter what difficulty it may entail.

No matter your present status in the Catholic Church; No matter your current family or marital situation; No matter your past or present
religious affiliation; No matter your personal history, age, background, race or color; No matter your own self image or esteem; You are invited,
welcomed, accepted, loved and respected at St. Charles-St. Ann and St. Patrick and St. Brigid.
God reveals himself to us through the Bible. We come to know Him
and ourselves better when we study the Word. Sr. Brigid O’Mahony
breaks open the meaning of Scripture and how we can apply it to our
lives. Our next meeting will be February 8th and 15th, 2020 from 9-
11am.
We’d love to have you join us!
For the month of January candles have been
lit in loving memory of Phil and Ida Corso
by Kathy, Denny and Phil
Coffee and donuts are offered each Sunday after 8am
Mass in the cafeteria . Please join us!!!

From Elmcrest Children’s Center
I want to take this opportunity to express my sincere thanks to you and
your congregation for the kind and generous donation of games, legos,
toys, clothing, sports equipment, electronic items and gift cards. The
thoughtfulness of the families in this manner is deeply
appreciated and we are truly grateful. Thank you very
much!
In 1990, Souper Bowl of Caring began with a simple
prayer from a single youth group:

“Lord, even as we enjoy the Super Bowl football
game, help us be mindful of those without a bowl
of soup to eat.”

Since then, more than $150 million has been gener-
ated for local charities across the country through
Souper Bowl of Caring. It has become a powerful
movement that transforming the time around the Big
Game, into the nation’s largest celebration of giving
and serving.

Through this mission, young people learn to make a
positive difference in the world as they collect food,
raise money and serve at hungerrelief charities and
show caring and compassion in local communities
across the country. Our YIM will be collecting at all
Masses on Souper Bowl!

Share in God’s love for our neighbors in need and
give generously on Super Bowl Sunday. 100% of
every dollar or food item collected will go directly to
our Souper Bowl of Caring Charity of Choice:

The Linked Parishes of St. Charles-St. Ann and St. Patrick and St. Brigid
St. Charles-St. Ann Food Pantry
With that being said– Our shelves are bare! Most needed items: sauce, pasta, small jellies, canned fruit, crackers,
peanut butter, cereal, tuna, mac and cheese, hot cocoa.
Non food items: dish soap, hand soap, shampoo, laundry soap.
Please note!!!
The Blessed and Broken Prayer Group will now be meeting in the
Teacher’s Lounge in the school on Thursday evenings. Please enter
through the front door of the school. 7pm
Our friend Louie from the holy land will be visiting our parish on behalf of the
Catholic Christian family of the Holy Land on Feb 1st and 2nd.
For centuries, the Catholic Christian of Bethlehem district have earned a
living by carving olive wood religious art to sell to visiting pilgrims. Fewer
pilgrims are journeying to the Holy Land today, making it difficult for Chris-
tian artisans to support their families by the dignified work of their hands in
the land of Christ’s birth.
We are the Christians of the Holy Land. We are the Living Stones. Our ances-
tors go back to the first disciples that followed Jesus 2000 years ago.
Louie, through his own experience as founder has
made it possible for the Catholic Christian in the
Holy Land to maintain a livelihood in their ances-
tral homes in the land of Christ
Your purchase will make a difference in the lives
of many Christians.
We gladly accept all major credit cards, checks and cash.
Looking forward to our visit!
We are in need of a 6th grade teacher for Faith Formation.
Our current teacher, sadly, is moving to Massachusetts.
We would need to have someone in place by the middle of
February. If you are interested, please call 315-468-1803.
Thank you!
Respect Life
Planned Parenthood receives tax dollars to preach a gospel of
unrestricted sexual experimentation which opens teens up to STDs,
pregnancy, and emotional distress. And when teens face the
consequences of the risky behaviors Planned Parenthood encourages,
they’re sent to the local Planned Parenthood abortion clinic for a
“solution” to the problem Planned Parenthood created in the first
place. So Planned Parenthood gets paid a second time… and the
students are left to deal in silence with their pain and grief.
Blessings in a backpack is a program where food is sent home on
Fridays with children who would otherwise be hungry. The food needs
to be in small quantity form. Examples of what we are looking for is
fruit cups, mac and cheese, small bowls or boxes of cereal, shelf
stable milk, pasta bowls, vegetable and chicken soups, nutrigrain
snacks, granola bars, dried fruits,
We participate in this program every month and need your help!
**please note! We could use reusable bags for groceries, now that
the plastic bags are not going to be used. If you would be willing to
donate one or two, that would be very helpful!!
