• Rainy days: Indoor Playroom, Gym, Indoor/Outdoor Classroom

Outdoor time gives children opportunities to interact with peers, develop their large motor skills, and learn social skills.

Assessment

• Teaching Strategies Gold– Teaching Strategies GOLD is a developmentally

appropriate, ongoing, observation-based assessment that occurs when teachers are observing children during regular, everyday activities on a continuous basis throughout the year. It is grounded in 38 objectives that guide teachers throughout the assessment cycle.  The objectives are organized into 10 areas of development and learning, including broad developmental areas, content areas, and English language acquisition.
