SPRING
Primăvara Spring
de Vasile Alecsandri by Vasile Alecsandri
A trecut iarna geroasă, It’s frosty winter which has passed,
Câmpul iată-l înverzit, And look, the field is green amain,
Rândunica cea voioasă The joyful swallow makes so fast
La noi iarăşi a venit. Its nice return to us again.
Dintr-o creangă-n alta zboară From one branch to another flies
Sturzul galben aurit, The jolly golden yellow thrush,
Salutare, primăvară, Salute, sweet spring, my voice cries,
Timp frumos, bine-ai venit! For you, nice time, welcome words gush!
Turturelele se-ngână, To murmur the turtle doves start,
Mii de fluturi vezi zburând Thousands of butterflies then fly
Şi pe harnica albină And the hardworking bee can dart
Din flori miere adunând. From flowers honey thus supply.
Cântă cucu-n dumbrăvioară And in the grove the cuckoo's whiz
Pe copacul înflorit, You hear on the flourished bush,
Salutare, primăvară, Salute, sweet spring, my voice cries,
Timp frumos, bine-ai venit! For you, nice time, welcome words gush!

Pentru tine, primăvară For you, spring
de Otilia Cazimir by Otilia Cazimir
Şiruri negre de cocoare, With lots of blackened flocks of cranes,
Ploi călduŝe şi uşoare, And also with mild and warm rains,
Fir de ghiocel plăpând, A snowdrop with its small frail strain,
Cântec îngânat în gând, A melody murmured in brain,
Sărbătoare… It's celebration…
Zumzet viu prin zarzări. Oare Apricot-trees with alive hum -
Cântă florile la soare? Singing flowers in the sun come
Că pe crengi de floare pline That on the branches full of bloom
Nu ştii: flori sunt, ori albine? Are flowers or bees and for whom?
Pentru cine?… You don’t know …
Pentru tine, primăvară, For you, dear season called spring,
Care-aduci belşug în ŝară, As in the country wealth you bring,
Care vii peste câmpii, And come over the plains, you know,
Cu bănuŝi de păpădii Pennies of dandelions show
Şi cu cântec de copii! And children song!

Cânta ciocarliile A lovely song begins the lark
Imn de veselie, To their hymn of joy you hark,

Canti di primavera Spring Songs
di M.Castoldi by M. Castoldi
Se vuoi sentir cantare la primavera, If you want to hear singing the Spring,
fanciullo, va’ nel prato, chiudi gli occhi. Child, go in the meadow, close your eyes
Verranno i grilli al calar della sera: The crickets will come at nightfall:
terran concerto insieme coi ranocchi. They’ll have a concert together with frogs
Tra i fili d’erba terran concerto Among the grass will have concert
in mezzo al prato, sotto il cielo aperto. Amidst the meadow, under the open sky.
Se primavera vuoi sentir cantare, If Spring you want to hear singing
ad occhi chiusi resta ad ascoltare. stay to listen with closed eyes.

Batte la luna soavemente Beating the moon softly
Di là dai vetri outside the window
Sul mio vaso di primule: on my vase of primrose:
senza vederla la penso without seeing it I think of it
come una grande primula anch’essa like a big primrose too
stupita astonished
sola alone
nel prato azzurro del cielo. In the blue meadow of the sky.

Reginella campagnola Little Queen Countrywomen
di E. Di Lazzaro / C. Bruno - 1938 by E.Di Lazzaro/C.Bruno
All'alba quando spunta il sole At dawn when the sun comes down
là nell'Abruzzo tutto d'or, there in the golden Abruzzo
le prosperose campagnole the joyful countrywomen
discendono le valli in fior. descend the valleys in bloom.
O campagnola bella Oh campagnola bella
tu sei la reginella. You are the reginella
Negli occhi tuoi c'è il sole In your eyes there’s the sun
c'è il colore delle viole there’s the colour of violets
delle valli tutte in fior. Of the valleys all in bloom.
Se canti la tua voce If you sing your voice
è un'armonia di pace is a harmony of peace
che si diffonde e dice: all round and says;
"Se vuoi vivere felice “ if you want to live happily
devi vivere quassù". Come to live up here”
Quand'è la festa, dal paesello When is the town fair, from the village
con la sua cesta se ne va. with her basket she goes.
Trottorellando l'asinello The little donkey trotting
la porta verso la città. Takes her to the town
O campagnola bella Oh campagnola bella
Tu sei la reginella You are the reginella

Rose! Che belle rose! Torna maggio! Roses! What beautiful roses! Come back May!
Sentite il profumo di questi fiori belli! Smell the perfume of these beautiful flowers!

Ma voi dormite ancora! Ah che coraggio! But you still sleep! What courage!
Rose! Che belle rose! Torna maggio! Roses! What beautiful rose! Come back May!
Rose! Che belle rose! E voi dormite! Roses! What beautiful roses! And you sleep!
E' primavera, non sentite le voci? It’s Spring, don’t you hear the voices?
Ma non vi sveglia questo dolce profumo? But this sweet scent doesn’t wake up ?

Il passerotto(Lu Passarielle) The Little Sparrow
di E. Di Lazzaro by E. Di Lazzaro
Ogni anno a primavera, Every year in Spring
coi mandorli di maggio e coi ciliegi in fior, with May almond and the cherry trees in
bloom
sull'albero fiorito tornava al vecchio nido on the tree the Sparrow still came back to
"lu Passarielle" ancor. the old nest
Ricordo, ogni mattina I remember every morning
con il suo frullo d'ale, with his flutter of wings
veniva al primo sole he came with the rising sun
per farmi risvegliar. to wake me up.
E tutta la mia casa He brought joy
di festa mi riempiva to my home
e poi s'addormentava and then he fell asleep
al tramontar. at the sunset
Ed ora è primavera, And now it’s Spring again,
è ritornato maggio coi mille e più color. May came back with all its colours
Sull'albero fiorito ,aspetto On the flowery tree I’m stil

Prośba do słoneczka Bożena Forma
Malutka głñwka krokusa
nad śniegiem się pojawiła.
To znaczy, że już wkrñtce
przybędzie wiosna miła.
Słoneczko nasze kochane,
bardzo cię prosimy.
Ogrzewaj mocno ziemię,
zacieraj ślady zimy.
Pod śniegiem mocno bije
pani przyrody serce.
Słoneczko wyślij promienie,
daj ciepła jak najwięcej.
Urośnie młoda trawa,
rozwiną się pąki na drzewach.
Dla ciebie miłe słoneczko
każdy ptaszek zaśpiewa.
Petition to the sun
by Bożena Forma
A tiny head of crocus
Appears above the snow
It means that pleasant spring
Soon will be here, I know
Our dearest sun
We ask you very strong
Heat the land intensely
Make winter traces exist not long
The heart of nature beat strongly
Under the snowy cover
The kind sun, send us your beams
And give much heat moreover
Young grass will shoot up shortly
And buds on the trees will bloom (run)
And every bird will sing
For you dearest sun

Wiosna idzie
W. Rusiecka
Wiosna idzie, co to będzie?
Jeszcze tyle śniegu wszędzie.
I na dachu i na płotku,
w polu, w lesie i w ogrñdku.
Wiosna idzie nie ma strachu!
Zaraz zniknie śnieżek z dachu.
Już na pola i na łąki
lecą gońce jej, skowronki.
Lecą do nas wiosny gońce,
ciepły wietrzyk, ptaki, słońce!
Spring is coming
by W. Rusiecka
What would it be?, spring will go
But everywhere is so much snow
On the roof and on the fence
On the field in wood and garden
Spring is coming, there’s no fear
From the roof snow will disappear
On the fields and on the meadows
Larks are flying – the spring’s runners
The runners of spring are flying to us
And also warm wind, and birds, and sun

Dalej, dalej do ogrñdka dzieci
Już nas wiosna wita
Słońce jasno świeci
Patrzcie, patrzcie wkoło
Zielenią się drzewa
Ślicznie rosną kwiatki
Dźwięcznie ptaszek śpiewa
Dla każdego dziecka
Czerwcowa pogoda
Poziomka pachnąca
Wiąże dziś dziewczynkom
Kokardy ze słońca
Chłopcom złote żagle
Rozpina na chmurze
Zaprasza w dalekie
Podniebne podrñże
I biegnie z bukietem
Przez ogromny świat
Dla każdego dziecka
Niesie jeden kwiat

Povestea unui ciobănaş A Nice Little Shepherd’s Story
Am să vă spun, copii, povestea I will tell you, kids, don't worry
Unui ciobănaş, a unui ciobănaş. A nice little shepherd’s story.
În fiecare zi mergea cu turma pe imaş, Daily on pasture with his herd,
Printre oiŝe, mieluşei, drăguŝul ciobănaş. Went among ewes, lambs, cute
shepherd.
Voios, pe câmpul înflorit, cânta din fluieraş, On the blossomed field whistled
glad
Şi-i răspundea din lan de fân, cri, cri un greieraş. In the hayfield cricket's song had.
Dar cum mergea cântând voios pe crângul înverzit, Carring his song in fields with joy,
Un piŝigoi din vârf de pom, aşa i-a ciripit. A titmouse squeal heard the boy.
Cirip, cirip, ascultă-aici, cirip, băiatule. Chirp, chirp, listen boy, chirp here.
Stă lupu-ascuns într-un tufiş, păzeşte-ŝi oile. Wolf is in bush, keep sheep near.
Am să mă duc îndată eu, am să mă duc în zbor, I will go soon, I'll go in flight,
Să chem aici cu puşca lui, pe mândrul vânător. The proud hunter kills the blight.
Şi vânătorul iscusit, îndată a venit, For skillful hunter was a bit
El, lupu-ascuns într-un tufiş, pe loc l-a nimerit. The hidden wolf fast he could hit.

Lacul The Lake
de Mihai Eminescu by Mihai Eminescu
Lacul codrilor albastru Amid the forest the blue lake
Nuferi galbeni îl încarcă, Yellow lilies started to take,
Tresărind în cercuri albe By wincing in circles so white
El cutremură o barcă. He shakes a boat like a mite.
Si eu trec de-a lung de maluri, And I’m passing along the banks,
Parc-ascult şi parc-aştept Listening and waiting stay in ranks
Ea din trestii sã răsară That from the reeds she starts to crest
Si sã-mi cadă lin pe piept; And gently to fall on my breast.
Sã sărim în luntrea mică, In the small boat then we jump,
Ingânaŝi de glas de ape, Rocked by the waters' voices bump,
Si sã scap din mână cârma And let the helm out of hand
Si lopeŝile sã-mi scape; And the oars go towards the sand.
Sã plutim cuprinşi de farmec Let’s float comprised of charm soon
Sub lumina blândei lune - Under the light of gentle moon -
Vântu-n trestii lin foşnească, In the reeds slow is wind’s rustle,
Undoioasa apă sune! The waved water shows its bustle.
Dar nu vine... Singuratic She doesn't come ... but I don’t why
In zadar suspin şi sufăr And suffering in vain I sigh
Lângă lacul cel albastru So closed to the blue lake indeed
Incărcat cu flori de nufăr. With nice lily flowers loaded.

Memleket İsterim
Memleket isterim
Gök mavi, dal yeşil, tarla sarı olsun;
Kuşların çiceklerin diyarı olsun.
Memleket isterim
Ne başta dert ne gönülde hasret olsun;
Kardeş kavgasına bir nihayet olsun.
Memleket isterim
Ne zengin fakir ne sen ben farkı olsun;
Kış günü herkesin evi barkı olsun.
Memleket isterim
Yaşamak, sevmek gibi gönülden olsun;
Olursa bir şikayet ölümden olsun.

I Want a Country
I want a country
Let the sky be blue, the bough green, the
cornfield yellow
Let it be a land of birds and flowers
I want a country
Let there be no pain in the head, no yearning in
the heart
Let there be an end to brothers' quarrels
I want a country
Let there be no rich and poor, no you and me
On winter days let everyone have hose and
home
I want a country
Let living be like loving from the heart
If there must be complaint, let it be of death

Crazy for the sun
I love flowing water
I love sparkling snow
If I see under the sun
A grean leaf

A seed turning green
It fills me with joy
I won't exchange a day
A beautiful day
A suny day
For anything
That's why I don't like wars
That's why I don't like cruelty
That's why I don't like lies
I know, neither injustice

Can live under the sun
I know, they can't live side by side with

Domenica D’agosto Sunday in August
di Migliacci by Migliacci
Domenica d'agosto, che caldo fa! Sunday in August, how hot it is!
La spiaggia è un girarrosto, non servirà The beach is burning, it won’t help
bere una bibita se in fondo all'anima to have a drink if I’m dreaming
sogno l'oceano. Splash! the ocean.Splash!
Ondeggiano le palme da dattero, The date palm trees are waving
in cielo un volo di fenicotteri. In the sky the flamingos fly.
Sopra lo scoglio c'è una ragazza che On the cliff there’s a girl that
ride e si tuffa giù. Splash! laughs and dives down. Splash!
Vieni qui, lei mi fa, tulla tullalla. Come here, she says, tulla tullalla
Vieni qui, se ti va, tulla tullalla. Come here,if you want, tulla tullalla
Qui da me troverai, tulla tullalla, Here you’ll find, tulla tullalla
L’oceano blu. Splash The blue ocean. Splash!
Domenica d'agosto, che sera blu! Sunday in August, what blue night!
In cielo c'è una stella che guarda giù. In the sky there’s a star that look down.
Prendo la moto e vengo a cercare te, I come to look for you
ma non ti trovo più. Splash! but I can’t find you, any more. Splash!

Look the world’s filled up with the autumn
As a glass full of wine
But it’s only the beginning
And with me that’s fine
Leaves that shine like gold,
There are plenty of them
You can roll around in the grass
To move it, here I am

It floods everything around
It’s going to explode in a moment
And it’ll take control of a ground

Letnia ulewa

Nagle ... ulewa!
Bije o ziemię,
bije o drzewa,
na szybach dzwoni
i w rynnach śpiewa,
w kałużach pluszcze
letnia ulewa.
I znowu cicho.
Znowu pogoda.
W całym ogrodzie
kałuże, woda...
Po ścieżkach płyną
srebrne strumyki...
Prędko! Zbierajmy
leśne kamyki,
port budujmy,
gdzie płytkie morze.
Tamy stawiajmy

Puszczajmy łodzie

A Summer Downpour
by Irena Suchorzewska
Before a moment of sunlight.
Suddenly ... a downpour!
It beats against the ground,
It beats against the trees,
it rings off the glass
and sings in the gutters,
in puddles it splashes
a summer downpour.
And again, it is quiet.
Again beautiful weather.
Throughout the garden
puddles, water ...
On the paths flow
Silver streams ...
Hurry! Let us collect
the forest pebbles,
let us build the port,
where a shallow sea lies.
Let us build dams
in a warm lake.
Let us sail boats
Made from pear tree leaves
Before the earth is again
Dried up by the sun…

To cherries on a tree
Which give me the sweetest kiss.

Azi e frig şi nori şi vânt, Today is cold and clouds, wind,
Frunzele cad la pământ, Fall to the ground leaves in bind,
Florile stau supărate, And flowers are angry by far,

Ca un palat pustiu, cu geamuri sparte, As a harsh windows bleak palace,
Pădurea noastră tace părăsită: The silent trees the wood release:
Eu singur cânt cu voce obosită I’ve tired voice but I sing

S-au dus privighetorile măiestre; Excelling nightingales are gone;
Pustiu e cuibul blândei turturele... Deserted the turtle dove's nest …
Ah, unde-i şuierul mierliŝei sure ? Why blackbird's whistle starts to rest?
Pierdut din stolul mândrei lor orchrestre, Lost in their proud band’s flock,

Autunno Autumn

Quando la terra When the land
comincia a dormire starts sleeping
sotto una coperta under a blanket
di foglie leggere, of light leaves,
quando gli uccelli when the birds
non cantano niente. don’t sing anything.
Quando di ombrelli When of umbrellas
fiorisce la gente, flourish the people,
quando si sente when we hear
tossire qualcuno, to cough someone,
quando un bambino when a child
diventa un alunno. becomes a pupil.

Autunno–Il Fungo Autumn- The Mushroom
di M.Moretti by M.Moretti
Il cielo ride un suo riso turchino The sky laughs its turquoise laugh
benché senta l'inverno ormai vicino. although it feels the winter now close.
Il bosco scherza con le foglie gialle The woods jokes with yellow leaves
benché l'inverno senta ormai alle spalle. although it feels the winter behind.
Ciancia il ruscel col rispecchiato cielo, Prattle the stream with the reflected sky
benché senta nell'onda il primo gelo. although it feels in the wave the first frost.
é sorto a piè di un pioppo It arose at the foot of a bony and log

Ma dove ve ne andate But where are you going
povere foglie gialle poor yellow leaves
come farfalle like softly

Venite da lontano o da vicino Are you caming from afar or near

E non sentite la malinconia and don’t you feel the melancholy

che resta nel cuor eternamente. That remains in the heart forever

forse potrò, sulla tastiera, maybe I will be able, on the keyboard,
tradur tutto il dolore che è in te, to express all the pain that is inside
solo in te. of you.

che irrompe e veloce è svanita: that breaks into fast and is gone:
metafora lucida di quello che è la nostra vita... lucid metaphor of what is our life ...
Odori di fumo e foschia, Smells of smoke and haze
fanghiglia di periferia, mud in the suburbs,
distese di foglia marcita expanses of rotted leaf
che cade in silenzio lasciando per sempre la vita… falling silently leaving the life forever

El otoño.
El viento, aburrido,
saliñ a jugar en el bosque.
Acaricia los árboles
les hace cosquillas
y después,
se esconde.
Ahora en zigzag,
luego arriba y abajo…
Translated by Marta Martín Díaz
The autumn
The wind, boring,
Went out to play in the forest.
Caresses the trees
Make them tickles
And after,
It hides.
Now in zigzag,
Then up and down…
And the happy trees
Sway to the sides themselves,
To thank enough the wind
Its hugs.
With the fallen leaves,
It plays too.
It ups and shakes them
It piles and extends them
Forming an ocher carpet
At its feet….
It is autumn, and everything goes
With the beat of the wind,
The trees dance,
And coloring leaves cover the field
Or they enjoy,
Floating in the air

„Pokochaj jesień”
Tadeusz Karasiewicz
Sprñbuj pokochać jesień
z niesamowitymi urokami
Spñjrz ile piękna niesie
obdarzając cię nowymi dniami.
Kolorowo jak wiosną
barwne liście ostatki zieleni
Dadzą chwilę radosną
twą szarość życia mogą odmienić.
Wieczñr szybciej nastaje
słońce też znika wcześniej niż latem
Lecz nowe czy nie daje
chwile spokoju skorzystaj zatem.
Fall in Love with Autumn
By Tadeusz Karasiewicz
Try to fall in love with autumn
with incredible charms
Look at how many beautiful
new days it grants you.
Colorful as the spring
Colorful leaves are the remnants of the final
greens
They give a joyful moment
the gray of your life they can change.
The evening sets in faster
Also, the sun disappears earlier than in the
summer
But it does not give you new ones
therefore use the moments of peace.

Jesienny wiatr
Hanna Ożogowska
Wiatr jesienią ma robotę
w nocy i za dnia.
Ciągle strąca liście złote
i przed siebie gna.
I nasiona drzew bez liku
nosi tu i tam.
Kiedy spoczniesz już, wietrzyku?
Powiedz, powiedz nam!
Po zielonym wielkim lesie
wiatr piosenki dzieci niesie.
Aż się dziwią stare drzewa
Kto was tak nauczył śpiewać?
Autumn Wind
by Hanna Ożogowska
Wind is busy in the autumn
Day as well as night
He likes golden leaves at bottom
And it flies like a kite
It has stolen seeds from trees
Then it lost them here and there
It’s high time to stop it sees
Stop my dear as we are scare!
Tell us our little kids
Ask the trees with open lids
Why the forest huge and green
Such a thing has never seen.

Săniuţa fuge The Little Sledge
Here’s Running
Săniuŝa fuge The little sledge here’s running
Nimeni n-o ajunge And nobody is forerunning
Are dor de ducă The wanderlust is his host
Parc-ar fi nălucă. It seems to be just a ghost.
Refren: Refrain:
Toata ziua prin zăpadă And all day long it' s through the snow
Vine lumea să o vadă Everybody enjoys that show
Săniuţa e uşoară The little sledge is too easy
Fuge parcă zboară. To fly it seems to be busy.
Are tălpi lucioase It has glossy soles by far
Vârfurile întoarse And so returned the sledge peaks are
Pod de scândurele Like a true bridge made of small boards
Să tot stai pe ele. You stay on them like on some hoards.
Peste hopuri sare It dives vividly over bumps
Ca pe zmeu călare Like on a huge dragon it jumps
Hăŝul dă să scape The rein is ready to escape
Trânta e aproape. The fight is close, it's not a jape.

Iarna Winter
de Nicolae Labiş by Nicolae Labiş
Totu-i alb în jur cât vezi All is white on the long road
Noi podoabe pomii-ncarcă New ornaments the trees load
Şi vibrează sub zăpezi And under snow start to vibrate
Satele-adormite parcă. The villages which sleep, don't prate.
Doamna Iarna-n goană trece Lady Winter quickly passes
În caleşti de vijelii - In carriages of storms it is -
Se turtesc de gemul rece Flatten by the cold window
Nasuri cârne şi hazlii. The snub and funny noses glow
Prin odăi miroase-a pâine, Into the rooms a smell of bread,
A fum cald şi amărui A hot and bitter smoke can spread
Zgreapŝănă la uşă-un câine And a dog at the door scratches
Să-şi primească partea lui … To get its share in batches…
Tata iese să mai pună Dad goes out to put longer
Apă şi nutreŝ la vacă; For the cow water and fodder;
Vine nins c-un fel de brumă He comes snowed by a sort of rime
Şi-n mustăŝi cu promoroacă. And frosted whiskers in this time.
Iar bunicul desfăşoară And grandfather carried out
Basme pline de urgie, Tales full of bane, no doubt.
Basme care te-nfioară Some tales which can shudder you
Despre vremuri de-odinioară, On times-once you have listened to
Vremi ce-n veci n-au să mai fie. On times which this never will do.

Vine iarna de la munte, The winter from the mountains comes,

Iese-un iepure furiş Comes out in a sudden mood
Şi cum scapă pe cărare... A sly rabbit runnung to path
Fuge ca o arătare... Like a strange ghost on a lath ...
Flinta face bum! iar moşu The gun makes boom, it doesn't cose
Stă şi-şi freacă nasu roşu, Often rubbing his red nose

Moş Crăciun Santa Claus
Ce se întâmplă când de sărbatori s-adună nouri When’s holiday clouds it sifts
De obicei ar trebui să plouă cu cadouri Should usually to rain with gifts

Şi să-l asteptam pe Mos Craciun. Besides, let’s wait for Santa Claus.
Să vină cât mai repede, să ne umple coşul Coming soon, the basket to fill
Sst! ...bate cineva la uşă, ăsta cred că-i Moşul. Shh! Santa’s knocking at door sill
Muzica răsună, Moş Crăciun de veacuri For ages, music resounding
Ştie să ne lecuiasca sufletul şi fără leacuri. Our soul curing, healing.
Ridicaŝi paharele cu sucuri, să golim vasul, Vessel’s empty, raise juice glasses,
Moşul dacă bea ceva, copii-i îngheaŝă nasul. If drinks, Santa’s nose freezes.
Muzica răsună, masa-i plină, totul-i de calibru Tonight balance’s most wanted.
Cel mai căutat în seara asta este echilibrul. Music, table are completed.
Vorbesc părinŝii ce aud şi ei de la părinŝi Parents speak from theirs hear
Că Moşul vine numai la copiii cei mai cuminŝi; For the best kids Santa's near.
Ce mai contează cum am fost, de-mi aduc aminte What does it matter, so what does
Dacă Moşul e aici, înseamnă că am fost cuminte. If Santa's here, good I was.
Dar pentru asta, Moşule, am o rugaminte But Santa, I have a request
Ştii că inima de fată sigur, sigur nu te minte No lie, my girl heart is the best

Kar
Çok soğuk...
Bugün kar var dışarda,
Buz gibi bir hava, parmaklarım donmus uyandığımda
Baktım bembeyaz bir örtü kaplamış tüm acıların üstünü
Gülümsedim, penceremin demirlerine konmuş küçük bir serçeye
Bir şeyler söylemek ister gibi baktı bana
Sanki, üsüme, bu kıs geçer bahar gelir diyordu
Hangi mevsim seni bana getirir ki? Hangi bahar? Hangi kış?
Mevsimleri saymaktansa hep bir ümitle,
Bırak, her zaman kar yağsın acılarımın üstüne
Snow
It's very cold...
There's snow outside today,
Ice cold weather, my fingers are frozen when I woke up
I saw that a pure white cover has covered all the pains
I smiled to a little sparrow that perched on my window's bars
It looked at me as if wanting to say something
Like saying, don't be cold, this winter ends and spring comes
But which season brings you to me? Which spring? Which winter?
Instead of counting the seasons with an endless hope
Leave it, let snow fall on my pain always.
Cenk
İşte yine kış geldi
Her yer, ayaz kesiyor.
Aman dikkat çocuklar,
Rüzgâr yaman esiyor.
Mevsimler
Soğukta üşümeyin,
Kalın giysiler giyin.
Biraz da tatlı yiyin,
Mevsim kıştır çocuklar!
Kıştan sonra ilkbahar.
Her taraf çiçek kokar.
Sizin bayramınız var.
Nisan hoştur çocuklar.
Güneş gökte bir ateş,
Meyveler olgunlaşır.
Yaz tatili gelince,
Sınıflar tenhalaşır.
Sonbahar geldiğinde,
Tören yapar çocuklar.
Okullar cıvıl cıvıl,
Dersleriniz de başlar.
Tembel tembel gezmek yok!
Okuyalım, yazalım.
Karnelerin üstüne,
Pekiyiler dizelim.

con l'inverno alla finestra with the winter at the window

Przypłynęła chmura sina.
Od pñłnocy wiatr zacina.
Kot wyjść z domu nie ma chęci.
Coś się tam na dworze święci!
Kraczą wrony na parkanie:
- Jedzie zima, groźna pani!
I już lecą z nieba śnieżki,
zasypują drogi, ścieżki,
pola, miedzę i podwñrka,
dach, stodoły, budę Burka.
Kraczą wrony na jabłoni:
- Jedzie zima parą koni!
Mrñz ściął lodem brzeg strumyka.

Winter is coming
by Czesław Janczarski
A blue cloud floated by.
From the north a wind whips.
The Cat has no desire to leave the house.
Something is starting ouside!
The crows crouch on the fence:
- Winter is coming, a dangerous lady!
And snowflakes fall from the sky,
covering roads, paths,
fields, meadows and backyards,
the roof, barns, and Burka’s doghouse.
Crows crouch on an apple tree:
- Winter is coming, riding a pair of horses!
Frost cuts the edge of the stream with ice.
A field rabbit hides in the forest.
The dwarf’s ears have frozen,
already by the stove he will not move!
Crows crouch on the birch tree:

Hey, boys! Come along!
Regiments! Eyes right!
Calling friends, waving hands -
Ready for a snowfight.
Mom! Mom!
My hat!
I must run
Where the others are having fun
Miljoniem sniegpārslu
/dzejoļa autors Guntis Vāveris/
Sala pieskāriens…
Un gaisma zūd,
Bet sirdīs šai gaismai,
Uz mūžu būt…
Pārslu eņģeli…
Tiem spārni trausli,
Kūst tie saujās,
Bet daile to stipra –
-tie plaukstai klāt kļaujas..
…Viņi kusīs Zemes plaukstā,
Dzīvību padzirdot radīs…
Īstenosies vēlme skaļi paustā –
- viņi mūsu sirdis vadīs!
Cik daudz eņģeļu te bijis,
Ka to pūkas baltās…,
Aizdzen prom skumjas saltās?
Millions of Snowflakes
(by Guntis Vāveris)
Touch of Frost ...
And the light fades,
But in our hearts that light,
Will stay …
Flakes - little angels
With fragile wings
They fly and melt calm
But beauty is their strength -
- they cling to your palm
…They’ll melt on the Earth’s palm
Giving voice to our desires…
All wishes will be carried out –
- they’ll lead our hearts
How many angels’ve been here
White weightless fluff…
That cast away sad wintry stuff.
