A VERY SPECIAL MESSAGE ……. UN MENSAJE MUY ESPECIAL Dear Parishioners,

During this time of coronavirus pandemic, in the midst of uncertainty

and worry, when each day seems to bring more and more bad news it is

easy to feel overwhelmed by this news. Therefore, it is so important to

remind ourselves and others that the RISEN LORD IS WITH US and

we are under the protective care of the Blessed Virgin Mary. We

must focus on that news which brings us hope in our personal, family

and community life.

Today I would like to share with you some good news from our parish

life, an update on our Adoration Chapel project. Two years ago, the

current project was approved by our Bishop J. Tamayo and Diocesan

Construction Committee. At that time, you saw in our church special

boards showing photographs of the chapel project, dated May 13, 2018.

Now, two years later the plan becomes a reality! Since the ground

breaking, January 6, 2020, the project is under construction, now, at the

stage of erecting the walls.

This coming Wednesday, May 13, on the memorial of our Lady of

Fatima you will see on our parish fb page the pictures of the construc-

tion site. Please continue to keep this project in your prayers. God will-

ing, within the next few months we will be able to give thanks to the Lord

in our new worship space!

I would also like to take the opportunity to say, “THANK YOU VERY

MUCH” for your continued financial support of our parish. Additionally, if

you know of any family or individual in need in our neighborhood, please

let me know, so we can help them during this difficult time. Be safe, stay

Queridos feligreses, Durante este tiempo de pandemia de coronavirus, en medio de la

incertidumbre y preocupación, cuando cada día parece traer más y más

malas noticias, es fácil sentirse abrumado por esta noticia. Por lo tanto,

es tan importante recordarnos a nosotros mismos y a los demás que el

SEÑOR RESUCITADO ESTÁ CON NOSOTROS y estamos bajo el

cuidado y protección de la Santísima Virgen María. Debemos cen-

trarnos en esa noticia que nos trae esperanza en nuestra vida personal,

familiar y comunitaria.

Hoy me gustaría compartir con ustedes algunas buenas noticias de

nuestra vida parroquial, la actualización de nuestro proyecto de la Capi-

lla de Adoración. Hace dos años, el proyecto actual fue aprobado por

nuestro Obispo J. Tamayo y el Comité Diocesano de Construcción. En

ese momento, ustedes vieron en nuestra iglesia, tableros con fotogra-

fías del proyecto de la capilla, fecha del 13 de mayo de 2018. ¡Ahora,

dos años después, el plan se convierte en una realidad! Desde la bendi-

ción de la inauguración el 6 de enero de 2020, el proyecto está en cons-

trucción, ahora, en la etapa de erigir las paredes.

Este próximo miércoles, 13 de mayo, en el memorial de Nuestra Señora

de Fátima verá en nuestra página parroquial de Facebook, las imáge-

nes del sitio de construcción. Por favor, continúen manteniendo este

proyecto en sus oraciones. ¡Si Dios quiere, en los próximos meses

podremos dar gracias al Señor en nuestro nuevo espacio de adoración!

También me gustaría aprovechar la oportunidad para decirles,

“MUCHISIMAS GRACIAS” por su continuo apoyo financiero de nuestra

parroquia. Además, si usted sabe de una familia o individuo necesitado

en nuestro vecindario, por favor hágamelo saber, para que podamos

PRAYER FOR OUR ADORATION CHAPEL PROJECT

L ord, we humbly beseech You that You bless our Adoration Chapel

project as we seek to build this chapel for the honor and glory of You alone. Look favorably upon us, your children. Keep all the workers safe and secure throughout this project and may each step progress with your blessing.

O Lord, we pray that this chapel will be a visible sign to a fallen world

of Your presence among men, a place where souls will come to behold the Lamb of God and adore His real presence in the Holy Eucharist. May those souls find a haven from the turmoil of the world. May hungry souls come to be fed the Bread of Life. May weary and burdened souls

come to find rest and peace.

R elying solely on Your loving Providence, we seek only to build this chapel according to Your Will, and we beg for your blessing and

continual assistance so that it may be accomplished.

May our Patroness, Our Mother of Perpetual Help intercede for us! Our Lady of the Eucharist pray for us! Our Lady of Guadalupe pray for us!

M ay 13 is the anniversary of the apparition of Our Lady to three shepherd children in

the small village of Fatima, Portugal in 1917. She appeared six times to Lucia, 9, and her cousins Francisco, 8, and his sister Jacin-ta, 6, between May 13, 1917 and October 13, 1917. What is the central meaning of the mes-sage of Fatima? “The exhortation to prayer as the path of “salvation for souls” and, likewise, the sum-mons to penance and conversion”. Therefore, let's continue to practice in our daily life of Our Lady's three requests: penance, prayer and devotion to her Immaculate Heart.

REST IN PEACE FR. DITADDEO It is with a heavy heart that I share the sad news of Fr. DiTaddeo’s passing in Chicago Il. Fr. DiTaddeo was a Pastor at Mother Cabrini for many years and a Pastor at St. Joseph for several years and assisted here at Blessed Sacrament and Divine Mercy. His funeral services are pending. May he rest in peace!
