Welcome
New TTT Seller!
Enclosed is your welcome packet
with info for drop off.
Where Non-Clothing Items Go
Manned Departments: Look for large bins marked with balloons. Simply place items for that
department in the bin and a floor worker will put them out. If a department does not have a bin
marked with a balloon, it is a self-service department and the seller puts items out in that
section.
Major department sections are labeled with large banners:
DÉCOR
BABY (Place your items in Canvas bin with balloon. Worker will put out for you)
TOYS (Place your items in Canvas bins with balloon. Worker will put out for you)
BOOKS & GAMES (Place your items in Canvas bin with balloon. Worker will put out for you)
ARTS & CRAFTS (Place your items in Canvas bin with balloon. Worker will put out for you)
ELECTRONICS (Place your items in Canvas bin with balloon. Worker will put out for you)

• Sub-department signs are located in each department to help you
break down sections of the sales floor.
• Please fill in the bottoms and back bins FIRST to prevent overflowing.
Baby clothing up through size 12 months, Maternity & Teen Clothing is semi-manned.
Assistant is nearby.
Inspection & Drop Off Process
• We keep track of the order you arrived at your station. An Inspector will be assigned to you.
Teen clothing requires certain approved inspectors which could result in a longer wait for them to become available.
• You will be given a sticker with your seller number on it. After you are finished putting your items out, return to the check
in table at the front with your sticker. The attendant will give you any returned items that didn’t pass inspection. If you
have questions about returned items, feel free to ask your inspector.
• Your inspector will go through your non-clothing items FIRST. Place those items out on the floor while they continue to
inspect your clothing. When your inspector finishes a rack of clothes, place them out on the floor.
• Volunteers are stationed around tables in larger department areas. If you are unsure where to place something, please ask
one of them. Look for bins labeled with balloons. You may place items for that section in the bin and the floor director will
put it out.
How Many Rejected Items is “Average”? We have seen a variety of returned amounts. Sellers who follow the tutorials and guidelines listed on our site, that consign an
average of 1 or 2 clothing racks have about 10-15 rejected items. This number increases for sellers who prepped last minute, have
poor lighting in their home, or didn’t read guidelines on the site or our newsletters. Don’t be discouraged if you have a lot of
rejected items. Many sellers start off with a lot of rejects and learn what is expected in future sales. We’ve seen the quality of
returning sellers items improve with each season. TTT’s guidelines are what makes our sale so successful. Customers do not want to
sort through items that should have been rejected. This can affect our reputation and keep customers from returning. Selling gets
easier each time you participate and as you get more experienced.
About Our Inspectors
• Our inspectors are parents who have volunteered to work and most likely are also selling items in this sale. They have been
chosen to inspect due to their previous reputation of bringing quality items and following our video tutorials on our site.
• Each inspector has had a different level of experience and it may reflect in their knowledge and ability. We take extra steps
to train inspectors. We appreciate your patience if you have a trainee learning on your items.
• TTT does record items passed through inspection that should not have, and pulls those items off the floor as found. We do
cross reference which inspector accepted low quality items so we can help them improve in future seasons.
• Inspectors are trained to treat sellers and their items with respect. In return, we expect our sellers to honor that same
respect to them while they are doing their job at our event. Sellers who verbally abuse their inspector for rejecting items
will be notated and can result in being banned from participating in our sale.
Tips for Success Prices: If most of your items sell during pre-sale and opening day, your prices may be too low. It may also mean that your items
were highly desirable quality or unique items.
Presentation: Items that are wrinkled, incorrectly pinned, look sloppy on hangers or not the right size hanger for the garment can
affect a customer’s opinion about purchasing. Good presentation increases your sales. Take the extra time to present well and you
will earn more. Your time is money… add 50 cents or more to an item to compensate you for supplies and labor.
Batteries: Although not all items require batteries (only large items where it is essential for power are required), it is a GREAT idea to
put batteries in all your items so they sell. Use dollar store (cheap) batteries instead of high end brands. Adding 50 cents or a dollar
to an item to cover that cost is a good way to boost customer confidence in purchasing your item and increase your sales.
Security: Watch our item prep tutorials. TTT makes notes of each seller’s security level that was implemented. This helps us track
problems that may arise with your items.
Pre-Inspect: Follow our guidelines listed on our site and pre-inspect at home before you begin tagging. This will reduce your drop
off time, increase YOUR quality reputation and OUR sale reputation, leading to a higher sell rate of your items and check amount!
