Tracking your time

New Fellows Checklist Extend a personal welcome. Tour the Department. Explain scheduled working hours and
method of timekeeping. Make arrangements for the individual(s) to
be accompanied to lunch the first day. Discuss lunch and break periods. Discuss training timetable. Discuss notification procedure in the event
of illness or accident. Review absenteeism and tardiness policy. Identify washroom and other facilities
(cafeteria, Employee Health, etc.). Explain security procedures for department. Discuss parking for department and shift.
Introduce staff members. Identify work area and location of
equipment, supplies and storage space. Review and discuss job description. Explain job/role responsibilities. Provide required information and training on
bloodborne pathogens. Review TB control plan in infection control
manual. Discuss safety rules, drills, emergency codes,
use of safety equipment and review all hazardous waste materials/protocols and location of all related manuals.
Review department dress code. Explain Smoke Free Campuses. Complete the Remote Access Agreement.
