August 20, 2012 Next Meeting will be on September 20, 2012 at the Grand Lodge Hall, 458 Pearl St.

Stoughton, MA. The meeting will start at 7:00 PM sharp. There will be a light collation

prior to the meeting, starting at 6:30 PM.

Executive Council Meeting On Monday August 20, 2012, I attended the monthly Executive Council Meeting of the Grand lodge Of Mass. I made a detailed report on our Annual golf tournament. In this report, I stated that Welcome Lodge ran a successful Activity, Fundraiser, and Membership event. I also reported on the money that was raised. The only reaction was from the Grand Chancellor. He had asked me why he wasn’t notified about our event. We did however; receive confirmation from the Commissioners of Relief, that we will receive $62.50 for every nonmember who played in the tournament, after they complete the rank of Knight. Maybe next year, Welcome Lodge might be able to meet the expectations of the Grand Lodge? PC Paul Deletetsky

Poker Night Scheduled On Friday night September 28th, the Poker club will be hosted by Alan Goldberg. The venue will be the Club House at “The Farm” located at 99 Florence St. Chestnut Hill, MA. Annual Welcome lodge Invitational On August 13th, Welcome Lodge held its 4th annual golf tournament at Quail Ridge Country Club in Acton, MA The weather couldn’t have been better! The course was in excellent condition! And the people who supported this growing event were the BEST! The committee should be commended on their hard work. From the 1st year, with 7 participants, to this year’s 38, is an achievement that succeeded all expectations! Welcome Lodge had 9 of its brothers playing that day, along with 2 non-golfers, who not only donated to the tournament, but also took the time to come down and share in the comradely. The players from the lodge are as followed: Steve “Smokey” Weber*, Michael “Lunger” Schreier*, Stevie “Use to Be Good Time” Sarnowitz, Peter “And his Technicolor Outfit” Ivanovch, Michael “The Screamer” Silverman*, Paul “Le Machine” Deletetsky*, Tom “The Ratchet” Glaser, Michael “Scotty” Skolnick, Mark “Mulligan” Zuroff*. (* denotes committee member) The non-Players who came were PC Alan Goldberg, and PC Marty Cohen, and our Deputy, Tom “Tiny” O’Connor. At this point in time, there is no official tally from the proceeds of this event. A completed account will be presented to the lodge at our next meeting.
