Stretch Mark Treatment - Stretch marks occur for many reasons and some skins are more susceptible than others. Stretch marks are fine scars caused by tearing in the dermis (living layer of skin). The dermis is where our skin produces collagen and elastin fibres that give it a firmer, younger appearance. The scars occur when skin is stretched to the point of breakdown, like elastic losing elasticity, at which point these tears start to show through the epidermis. Lasers can cause localized damage by selectively heating dark target matter, melanin in the area that causes hair growth, the follicle while not heating the

rest of the skin. Hair grows in cycles and all three cycles co-exist at the same time which is the Anagen Phase, the Catagen Phase and the Telogen Phase. That is the reason why several sessions may be required to achieve complete and permanent hair removal. It is important to destroy the hair during the Anagen Phase because that is when it has the most Melanin or pigment. The Anagen phase is the active phase of hair growth during which it contains the most melanin and hair growth can be as much as 1 cm every 28 days. The Catagen phase is the regression phase of hair growth and is a form of transition that can last 2-3 weeks. The lower part of the hair stops growing but the hair is not ready to fall and the follicle is reabsorbed. The Telogen phase is the resting period during which the old hair falls, giving way to new hair production.

Dermal FillersDermal fillers are materials that are frequently used to correct scarring, wrinkles, and other depressions in the skin. They are often a kind of soft tissue designed in such a way that enables injection into the skin for purposes of improving the appearance. Generally, they are made of several types of materials of synthetic, man-made and natural categories, and they have been developed into various standards depending on the level of usage. For anyone suffering from problems like wrinkles, folds or depressions such as scars, derma fillers may be the right product for job. The procedure is quick, often just 30 minutes or less. Many people experience no pain at all and minimum side effects.

Types of Dermal Fillers

There are two major types of dermal fillers. Permanent and semi permanent, we do not use permanent dermal fillers. The semi permanent fillers are resorbable dermal fillers. Collagen is the most popular type of Dermal Filler and in the UK is called Collagen Instant Therapy. It is made from Bovine Collagen where it undergoes a high degree of purification. The purification process will bring the collagen up to the standards of natural collagen found under the skin. This type of filler comes in different levels of thickness and depending on the type of wrinkle the appropriate filler is used.

As your skin ages, it loses the collagen that helps to shape and support it. Facial lines are an inevitable part of the aging process but gravity genetics and stress are just some of the factors which are causative factors in the appearance of skin markers of aging. Dermal fillers are quite effective in filling up lines in general. Some of the most common lines that can be filled in both men and women include naso-labial lines, which are lines from the nose to the corners of the mouth. These are commonly called smile or frown lines. Wrinkles are an equally common condition that can be treated, some of them including forehead wrinkles and crow’s feet wrinkles.
